Just to contribute a fact to this idiotic debate: those not in the know will find that this featured on Triple J Radio's "Like a Version". Bands are actually expected to cover someone else's song - with their own twist, of course. If ya ain't followin' me - They HAD to do a cover. The original is gold. This rocks, too. Who gives a toss?

The point of the remake isn't to make it better, or to even try to recreate the quality of the song. In fact, the song does have quality, just in its own way. I prefer to hear a new, profound way of doing things, whether it be making a great acoustic version, or, in your respectable opinion, a poorly... y'know what, fuck it. I'm gonna go ahead and enjoy my music.
