i have focal's access line in my f-150 pickup and they blow people away who have systems that cost a shitload more than mine all because they didn't do their research and go with the focal access speakers which are in my opinion the best car speakers you can get for the price worldwide hands down and if anyone has something to challenge that i would love to see what they have to offer!

You really should educate yourself. He was referring are those focals with passive or active crossovers.

For active setup on 2-way components you need 4ch amp, HU with DSP-processor or good amp with HPF/LPF for mids and HPF for tweeters.

so each speaker has a built in amplifire? i dont think so. if they are powered by an outside amplifire then they are passive, if they have a built in amplifire then it is active. for example most home theater subs are active and the homtheater tower or bookshellf speakers are passive. get your facts right

@npr2b I've heard quite a lot of speakers in my life and I'm afraid I have to disagree. I've heard several speakers of the Focal Utopia series and I didn't find the sound accurate at all especially considering the price. Focal isn't to be compared to Ferrari of the speakers, rather Mercedes or some other overly popular mid-range (KEF, B&W...). True high end speakers of small companies may look worse, but they deliver far superior sound for the price.
