I wish developers stopped making SHITTY military 'simulations' that make soldiers seem SLOW, both physically and mentally. If a soldier behaved the way they do in this game, they wouldn't make it very far at all.

To perform ANY action takes so long it's just pathetic. I'm not talking about superhuman speed, but definitely REALISTIC reaction time would be of great help.

If you were in a real combat situation you would not be able to just run into combat with your defibrilator zap them ad run off for a quick boost to your points. The enemy would use the wounded soldier as bait and you would get shot down in no time.

On consoles it is'nt as good although more comfortable not being perched up constantly using mouse & K/B. But alot (not all) of console fps games have got it right with a controls/aiming/auto aim. Mainly ones designed for consoles. Bad Company, Halo & Modern warfare all feel fine. It seems that its harder for pc gamers to play fps on consoles because using pad is harder (at first).

Well, I gotta say that I'm quite subjective when it comes to controllers, because I've had my frustrating XPs. But I do find them quite difficult to "fine-tune" compared to a mouse.

Also, the aim isn't everything, but also the realism (PC to Console). The game being really realistic, it requires quite some precision from the player's side. I think especially the realism suffered. Get my point?

Well mouse & keyboard everytime for precision, though Im not a pc player really. But I think its a fair to say that when your playing multiplayer online games via console everyone is using a controller so everyone is the same boat. Its just a case of whos better. Unfortuntely I have'nt played flashpoint so I cant speak much about it & to be honest with you im more interested in bad company 2. Its just that flashpoint is supposed to be a sim & there is no demo so I was checking out this video.

I haven't checked out BC2, but I don't play as much anymore, so I guess I'll pass. I'd like to finish Bioshock once, seems to have an awesome atmosphere.

Not all sims on consoles though, just shooters because of the precision, fair enough I agree with you even tho I still really enjoy console shooters, Im on the 4th level of bioshock & need to get round to completing it also. Only gripes are its got a steep learing curve & also the audio could be better. As in you can hear people talking as if they were next to you when actually their in the next corridor or whatever. Well, from what I've played it's been streamlined for console use (make what you will of that) but not to the extent where it's radically different. To the dev teams credit, it's damn similiar to the whole OFP1 ethos, for better or for worse. You've got a helluva' lot of control and influence on the battlefield but at the cost of a steep learning curve (not really that steep if your versed in all things OFP, but by COD standards, quite complex)

Hilariously most of my friends (OFP and ARMA nuts one and all) Have pretty much waxed lyrical about how much of a "fucking rip-off" it is and how it would be invariably "shite" without having played the game whatsoever and have no intention of playing it out of some bizarrely placed sense of loyalty and complete ignorance. Something very obvious in one or two of the comments below me. The game, is, you guessed it, damn entertaining. I can truly say I did not regret buying this.

I love the people saying this is realistic. This is nothing more then a game that *looks* realistic, nothing more then a Battlefield Bad Company that sounds more military. See the weapons like "artillery designating" aka laser designator or motor designator(BF:BC), "demo charges" aka...demo charges(BF:BC), and others (just have to look). The core gameplay is really good but developers just made a few really poor decisions and i dont even know how they would miss so bad. For instance, you have this 250 km world, but you just load into an area for a specific mission do the objective and load into another, there's no point in exploring and free playing if your objective is a few hundred meters away from where you loaded in. Also there's no loadout choice which sucks.. forces you to a certain class and loadout each mission..
