  • good stuff robatsea!

  • Simply brilliant! ABC use to be da bomb! :D

  • Wow! I am feeling old here!

    Great memories.

It was so different back then.

  • Man does this bring back memories, i was a little kid in the late 60's and recall sitting in front of the tube day in to day out, and that familiar phrase "In Color", we did not have a color set until sometime in the early 70's, we just couldn't afford one bakc then. I don't watch much of today's prime time tv anymore, it's just not the same.

    Thank you robatsea!

  • @4gnrations07 Prime time TV today?!?!? I would rather watch the WPIXL test pattern from Pixley, in Green Acres...or any test pattern, for that matter! lol

  • That you for providing us with a look into the past. Amazing! You have great vintage clips.

  • that dr. kiley..oooh..he's a handful..lol

  • The "BATMAN" promo is from the fall of 1967 [Gary Owens, announcing], when "Batgirl" was introduced. Yes, "The Brady Kids" headlined an ABC Saturday morning preview special {"THE BRADY BUNCH VISITS ABC"} on September 10, 1971. William Schallert narrates "THE ODD COUPLE" promo (1970) [filmed during production of "It's All Over Now, Baby Bird"].

  • BTW, that ABC logo I spoke of was at 3:01.

  • @leroydubya

I saw that one on a website chronicling ABC's logo history. Never seen it in action until now :)

  • I haven't seen that five-note animated ABC ID (preceding the Matt Lincoln promo) in years. I've been looking for that one for years! Overall, a great montage. Brings back some memories.

  • That was interesting!
