I got same motor as you and my original setup was with a garret t3/t4 on 12 psi I made 229whp now I got a Garrett gt40 74 trim on 23psi and made 402 all I'm sayin that turbo looked small but if u say it handles that much and produces that much then that pretty good bro.

dohc usually produces more over all power and is better at high-end power. sohc produces better low-end power and usually wont continue putting out power for as long as a dohc engine. dohc engines also tend to rev higher than a sohc engine and has 4 valves per cylinder rather than 2 or 3 in a sohc engine, you still can have 4 valves in a sohc engine its just not as common as 2 or 3. there both good it just depends on what you do to them and what your looking for.

and the paint was the metallic red at kragen thats 7.99 a can. i used 1 whole can on it and than clear coated it.

@Marshmallowrex i never drove it at 390whp. only at maybe 330whp. when i left the shop in LA i had them downtune my redline from 7300 to 7000 and i took the bolt that pushes the wastegate spring down so im only boosting 17psi at 300rpm less than what i tuned at. i have a run of my car with a fisheye lens on my page.
