My Oakley Juliets Collection

Anybody have any long-term wear issues to report? I've got an old pair of the Lance Armstrong edition Flak Jackets and they're literally disintegrating after about 5 years of owning them and wearing them nearly every day. the rubber has denatured and the coating on the plastic is starting to bubble. Possibly due to being left in the car in texas heat. I figure it'd be worth spending the extra money on some Juliets if i can get a little bit better milage out of them.

ive got x-metal frame with black iridium lenses, customised with ruby iridium lenses before, and now I've got aftermarket deep purple lenses on them. Juliets are a great model!

@brianpis You're right that the Juliet is a great model. I also have recently got a pair of X-squared and love them as well. Bet your purple lenses are sick! Check out my video on the X Metal XX 24k. Best frame combo Oakley ever made I think.

can these glasses withstand impact of airsoft guns ?

@dex9k Now that one I don't really have the answer to since I haven't shot myself in the eye with an airsoft gun. But trust me when I say the x-metal line is super sturdy and can withstand quite a lot.

@bendover90 Oh no offense taken. You have to be an Oakley nut to understand the collection of these. They are really a work of art. Check out the vid of the x metal xx ones if you want to see a true work of art. Enjoy!!

@backintack I'd get the 24k gold lenses. Then maybe the fire lenses. I have the x metal xx in the 24k frame & lens and they are the best combo Oakley ever made. I'll do a video here in a bit. enjoy!!

Oh man, sorry to hear that. My Juliets with the fire polarized have never been worn. They are just too pretty! You might check ebay because there is a lens seller and they might make what you're looking for. Granted they won't be Oakleys though.

@AngeloR674 Compared to any other pair of Oakleys, you're right, they are heavy. I don't wear them for that reason. They do make a statement when you wear them. If you want to be noticed though, they work for that!!

I've had my Juliets for 7 years now, and I just found out they now discontinued them and its impossible to find me replacement lens (fire iridium polarized). I feel dead inside...

I love them both actually, but I think the blue ice is more brilliant, but that the emerald lens is not one that everyone has. They are both great lenses. Really they are both great choices. Glad you enjoy the videos. I have more Oakleys, but just have to take some time to do more videos. Stay tuned. Thanks for the post.

i'm planning to get a custom x squared with a plasma frame, but i can't decide which lens to use, should i go with ice iridium or emerald lens? which one do you think looks better? thanks! ;-)
