120km/u speedlimit, whaha how sad :") Such speedlimits are just redicilous on such wide long straight highways (or freeway, whatever you name it).
I know that part of the E40 and drove it usually around 140-170. That's a relaxed speed without the feel of hurry, nor so fast it becomes dangerous. Note: ofcourse adjusting my speed to the other traffic, I'm not a lunatic :)
That's a train line? Is that like the TGV in France? Is it electric rail type or maglev or something?
130!! wow... what's the speed limit over there? Most of our freeways are 100 limited or sometimes (mostly in rural areas) up to 110km/h. And then they were passing you!! That would be our police speed-ticketing dream: all those speeding tickets! A road-side speed-ticketing camera would be going crazy!
the speed limit is 120km/h, but they often drive within the 140/160km/h range. These Wallonian Belgians often drive without much discipline. Belgium is one of the least safe countries when it comes to traffic safety in the European Union.
The speedlimit is 120 kmh on every freeway except when a sign says otherwise. Speedcameras are rare on most freeways so is police-control. This makes the average speed on the belgian freeways to be around 135 kmh. I don't regret that, freeways are the only roads here where we can really push the pedal to the floor. Many people will agree with me that's good.
ah thats the way to Maastricht

Great drive... what speed are you going? Most people seem to be passing you.
What's "HSL"?

HSL=high speed line.
People drive very fast there, maybe they think they're still in Germany. I was driving about 130km/h.

It´s like the TGV indeed.
