THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER!!! BUT I LOVE MY MOM AND DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES! If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hours
The yellow plane is running too rich, #1, rpm should not much at all when removing the glow driver, #2, the engine loaded up and died on the first taxi AND landing, too much fuel.
Ah, as I watch the rest of the video, I see that calm air has its downside. No wind to bring you back to shore. I flew a floatplane many years ago and I brought a fishing rod with me with a rubber, practice plug. Just cast out beyond the plane and snag it and reel it back to shore.
How lucky can you get. A beautiful, sunny day with no wind. Glass smooth water,,, I'm jealous,, in a nice way. Way to go, guys, I got to build me one soon.
Mojo...you must be joking....unless you've flown an RC plane you don't know what your talking about and that is obvious...now run along, go find your mojo because it sounds like you need some.
are you a moron???? First of all it is hard as crap to fly a rc plane. Not to mention the constant pressure that if you screw up and crash the plane there goes many hours of work, and hundreds, if not thousands of dollars down the drain. Next time you want to post a comment do yourself a favor and..................don't.
@mojosmadness2 I would say flying a helicopter is definitely more difficult than an rc plane, but make no mistake rc plane flying is really hard and something that requires experience and good judgement., not to mention they are affected by wind at a much higher level.
hey that was an amazing video man! amazing job on the landing im sure if i tried that I probbaly would have crashed that thing in the water lol. nice video!
nice planes, just got back into R/C after 22 years. bought a Wild Hawk electric ready to fly trainer for 99 bucks. and a hobbyzone super cub for $149, both fly great.
The hinge was fixed in about five minutes with a drop of CA. The only reason the rudder was even loosened was because it had stayed under some boxes in the store for some time. The wings weren't even opened, and it came with a cowel. Of course, the wheels were majorly undersized, as is the standard, but those are extras. There are some good deals out there, but you have to really look.
It depends on what you are looking for. There are plenty of cheap electrics out there that fly pretty well for beginners. As for nitros, a 200 dollar limit is almost impossible to accomplish for a brand new plane with everything. I say almost impossible because after I bought my Alpha RTF for $300, I found a "used" Tiger Trainer for $150. There was one previous owner who never flew it. It was an RTF, and the only thing bad about it was a crappy box and a loose rudder hinge.
hey death 656 i hold a PPL IFR Multi and commercial license i have so much respect for RC pilots because I believe it is much harder to fly a RC nitro plane than a real aircraft because you do not have the feel of what is going on
Owning and flying a real plane is impossible for the majority of people. It's not cheap. Flying RC is the closest thing that some of us will ever be able to afford and even flying RC isn't cheap at about $1000 to get into the hobby.
Besides, flying RC, I'm not subjected to G forces or motion sickness that I would likely suffer from if I was piloting a real plane.
My Piper Cub (w/ floats) is not constructed yet, but when it's done, I'll post videos.
Someone serious about RC doesn't draw the line at $200 and if they do, they aren't serious about RC. My radio for control cost me more than $200 alone ... The plane was $110, but that's with no engine, no covering, no servos, no nothing ... Any $200 all inclusive deal for RC is a glorified box kite.
Well you must not know where to look. I got a T-rex clone Walkera 36 brushless for less than $200 and it flies great. Same setup for a T-rex would be at least $600. SO you learn before you comment you choad weasel.
Your helicopter is a) not a float plane and b) not a 76.5" wingspan, c) It's electric, not fuel..
I'm sorry, we seem to have miscommunicated. Maybe you got a sweet deal for getting into RC, but what you bought isn't the same as what I bought and I did specify that my purchase was a Piper Cub, not a helicopter.
I'm not a professional pilot, I know that. I also know that my gear DEFINITELY measures up.
Your approval or disapproval doesn't mean anything to me.
Thats fine and dandy. My first R/C model was an Hanger 9 Alpha RTF. Solo'd on the first engine start, no flight sim, no help. I don't need your shitty know it all attitude.
My eagle/float project is still what I consider to be on the cheap side and it's well over $350! Come to think of it I don't own a single plane that's under $400! With R/C it is very much you get what you pay for! BY, a radio and engine alone are over $260 so how in the fuck is someone supposed to get in the air for under 200?
By definition if its controlled by some sort of radio signal its radio controlled. You all can be as anal about it with "oh thats not a real plane" style commentary but the fact is, you CAN get into RC for less than $200. You can piss and moan your heart out but there are thousands of people out there enjoying cheap fragile aircraft that don't cause divorces to purchase. Live with it.
i want to make a depron piper cub with floats, i want to build retracts into the floats so i can taxi it into the water, we don't have anywhere to fly water planes tho so i am putting wheels on it :)
