Sorry, we are all family anyway. Whites, Blacks and Everyone in between. Which also makes me think about all of the Family Crests "Coat of Arms" in Europe. All had so called "BackaMoors" Kings, Queens & so forth in their Moorish Coat of Arms also as part of the European Families as well. Who was thinking about color in that way back then? No one, not in the same way people think of it today.

If you're dark, you mix with someone light, your kids will more than likely come out lighter than you, yet darker than the light one you mixed with. Keep that going over time with other lights and the once dark children will grow lighter and lighter throughout each next generation, until you may just get a so called black, looking more white than black. I believe that DNA dose not always pick up everything you once came from, once being drowned out over time mixing over & over again.

The only reason for ever seeing any so called “white” or my favorite term “tawny Moors", is due to their ‘Libyan’ Berber ancestry living in Europe for centuries and whitened by mating with Europeans. Called "Tamahu" by the black Garamantes from the Sahara (‘tama’: people and ‘hu’: light ivory). Some have red hair, some red beards. A White Moor is ethnologically defined as "a nomad of Berber-Arab origin"

However lets go with your argument that the Moors were Black and the other groups of Muslims in Spain were not Black. That would only mean that your Black Moors were just one Islamic group in Spain. However if you read the Song of Roland, these lot were called collectively Saracens, and not Moors at all. As that term came later, further it is noted in the poem that there were 4 different types of Saracens. Yet collectively they were all called Saracens.

Then we would have evidence to that affect. We would have their works ie in Science and Math, that enabled Europeans to develop, and we do not.
I am confining my arguments to the Moors in Spain. They were a mix of people Arabs, Berbers and Sub-Saharan Africans.

Now you could argue that in Mali they were Black & Muslim. Therefore by definition Moors, however these are not the Moors in Spain. It could also be argued that without the Mali trade & commerce, not just within Africa but outside, there would have been no technological development, or it would have been painfully slow. They effectively Bankrolled the lot of it.

Not only did they Glorify and Showed him as Rich with Gold and love of the German People all around him shouting out "Moor", but he was also shown as Black with really Dark, and I mean even Black Black skin.

If you try to go along the skin tone its not going to get you anywhere, the term Moor ended up being used by Europeans for Indian Muslims and they are dark.
