@ashleehoe I can't believe how widely accepted that the term nigger has become to mean nigger. It clearly comes from the latin negrus, meaning black. That is the root of the word, over time the meaning may have changed, but not since recently, since the slang term was probably used in reference to a slave in the south simply because they were black. I think it became offensive because of that fact.
