A let's play is a playthrough of a game recorded episodically with commentary AT THE TIME OF RECORDING. While doing commentary the LPer will fill people in on what to do in the future with his own skewed style of doing so, i twist my commentary in with sarcasm and wit, which keeps my viewers interested. It's not describing what's going on on the screen. It's making a fun experience of playing through a game while talking about the game and occasionally straying off subject for a good joke.
