Yeah it sounds good, but for the next time, don't usw the double bass as much as you can, it's definitly too much in this vid...

a good solo starts very slowly and quietly, and when you feel "ah now it sounds good, to go for the louder scenes" , than you play louder...

but i like my meinl cymbals too (not the ride, but the hats and exspecially the china)

i played with my band on this field last tuesday and wednesday again ;) (oh the poor neighbours :P) ... and its not really studio acoustics ^^ the sound is very high pitched, tha bass looses itself very fast outdoors ... so you have a really nice attack, but less bass in your sound ^^

additional you have a reeeaaally heavy delay effect because of the echos which are caused by hills and other environment stuff ^^ but sound not that bad :D

ja genau das ist es ;) mein pedal was beim set dabei war hat nach paar monaten den geist aufgegeben ... hatte damals also ned so viel geld ^^ finds aber bis heute ganz in ordnung, es hat alle erdenklichen einstellungsmöglichkeiten, kaputt ging bisher auch noch nix (immerhin schon fast 2 jahre ) ich kanns also nur empfehlen, wobei ich, wenn ich mir sicher bin dass ich länger schlagzeugspiel jetz wohl eher was gescheites (dw oder cobra oder so) kaufen würde, wo man wohl länger was davon hat

Covers are much more difficult than making your own part. He probably didn't sit down and decide exactly what he was going to do for songs, he probably developed what he was going to do over a long period of time by playing along to the song. I haven't heard the song, by the way

Second, being VOTED in the top ten means nothing. There are tons of people who listen to blink182 and think he is amazing. If you took drummers that know what they are talking about, he would be nowhere near the top 10.

@Rockinnsk8inallday not to rip on you there, but Peart is quite... overrated, creative yeah, but if you wanna see true creativity try someone like Benny Greb, Gavin Harrison, etc. Those are some drummers that are really pushing boundaries in their field, and I must say (In my honest opinion) Gavin Harrison is a lot better than Peart. That's just my own view, some other people will probably rant on me, but hey... we're all entitled to our own opinions. =] Just thought I'd throw a few. =]

well it depens on the style of course, but id prefer a thicker and maybe a bit bigger ride ... so to get a clearer sound .. more attack less tone ;)
