  • lol.....a real DJ uses turntables (Technics 1200s of course) and actual vinyl.......every kid today think they are a dj......let the hate begin.

  • let the music play and stop fucking with it.... less mix more music...

  • lol.. yeah it sukz, but the dudes tryna beat juggle, not mix 2 seperate songs u fkn idiots.. n i agree wit the 1200's statement

  • lmao

  • you call your self a dj you cant even mix milo bro

  • I was mixing records at raves almost 20 years ago now and if I could have seen the future, I would have said "Even with all the help of a NASA processor kids that call themselves DJs will still find a way to fucking trainwreck a mix."

    WEAK dude.

  • you can see all that technik makes you not dope if you have no soul...

  • rather have technics enough said.

  • This is weak! Stick to decks! I'm with djmoezabian89...There's a reason 1200's have been the standard for 30+ YEARS!

  • This guy has no GROOVE!

  • future : Emulator

  • You can make some noise like this right now on KeyFame dot com on really cool sounds without installation!

  • This sucks, gimme CDJ 2000:)

  • I'll take Virtual DJ over this shit anyday.

  • muitoooo fodaaaa

  • turntables have been around since the 50s even with cds , mp3 ipods illigal downloads they are still sold they arent going anywhere anytime soon

  • her screen is so big....

  • You cannot compare DJmastersuperskills with being a faggot

  • puta la wea fome weon oh.......keep vinyls alive!!!!!!!

  • Bit of practice on these things before recording the video wouldn't have hurt this bloke i dont think.

  • I lol at vinyl purists. Warmer sound? Shitty reproduction of highs. You say precise? I say touchy. YOU CAN SUCK IN A VARIETY OF WAYS, BUT WHAT YOU USE TO SUCK MATTERS LITTLE.

  • They kinda look like huge 6th gen ipod nanos

  • whats the song at 0:30

  • @rezafu Gotta be kiddin me!

    Jaylib--"The Red"

    Dope Beat!

  • Looks like he's having a lot of fun :-\

  • ok so just because you're doing it touch screen does not make it instantly awesome- if this was the DMC's you'd get laughed off the stage. I can see nothing innovative here, nothing that can't be done better by a skilled turntablist. Maybe if you show us something which is unique to the system and pushes digital DJing into interesting new performance pathways then we might have an interesting product

  • Am i the only one that thinks these look like big ipod nanos.

  • lol

  • Im pretty sure you could do more on an ipad..... Lets stick with what we know works shall we.

  • I have a tablet pc it's perfect for

  • well it´s interesting but you should ask a DJ to try it...

  • great concept badly orchestrated

  • lol

  • that sucked...just...no

  • That's straight offensive to the DJ culture... wow.... you don't even realize how wack that is!

  • First time I hit thumbs down and im not scared to admit it

  • Yeah, pretty fucking dumb.

  • Thats fucking cool :D

  • the possibilities of touchscreen decks are limitless, its just that this guy doesnt make any use of them.

  • sounds like crap,

  • WOW!! boring...

  • It would make sense if this guy didn't suck and if the software worked right

  • totally nonsense make the loops with hands if the softwares make it so perfectly. Is like use technology to imitate former and limitated technology.

  • horrible

  • @xYNNEL92x why i thing its cool lookin

  • its really cool but also shit.. what worries me is the thought that decks are going to be replaced in clubs by things that don't allow you to manipulate the sound in the same way as turntables do... technology is awesome though.. i'm fully willing to embrace it as long as i can still scratch... I don't want to have to start carrying my 1210's to the clubs just yet..

  • worst touchscreen turntablism ever.

  • It looks awesome, but it completely wrecks the total DJ feeling..

I'm a CD DJ myself, now combined with a Traktor Scratch system and it just feels so much better to have a real pitch control, jog and buttons which you just can feel (and prevented me from going completely digital), instead of a flat panel you need to look at every time you need to perform an action.

I'm pretty sure Vinyl DJ's think the same about it, looks awesome, but it's not practical.

  • I'm not mad at him using technology to better his game, hell, if I was that much of a purist I'd never use serato, I'm mad at him demo"ing" something and not really being very good at it. Would he play that set he just did out somewhere?

  • Guys its just a project and it´s cool!

  • so many fucking haters... Would you fly from NY to LA in the wright bros. plane vs. a 737 just to "keep it real"? its called progression... open your mind and shut ur fuckin traps already, jesus christ... everyone is such an "expert" and I bet all you so called "dj's" suck anyway.

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........ (deep inhale) B0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • this shit is Attigay and if i could break those fuckin screens over your head i would

  • holy shit i am literally blow away but the gay ass skills that you need to push a screen with your finger.. this video doesnt apply to real djs anyway

  • obviously u do not kno about technology so till u actually do a show say as big as a concert shut the fuck up

  • @blackmagik1999 i know that you are a stupid fuck and know more about technology than you ever will and that you support gay fake shit

  • Epic fail...no talent

  • this guy sucks for how awesome that interface is. looks like lemurs to me.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah man i have too agree, you can't replace techs, i can see homeboy don't even feel it!!!!!!

  • horrible

  • turntables is betta xDD

  • wack!

  • this shit looks like its from the matrix or something.

  • Not impressed at all!! If you're doing this, don't call your self a DJ. Kick your self in ass!! Word!!

  • wow , now you can be an even less talented dj!

  • how name is 1 track ???

  • Niiiice!!! Now my 2 year old can be a deejay. Lol

  • OMG o,O ;D

  • super duper wack

  • lol this must cost ig shit :D

  • that looks easy, what happened to the old way of dj ing with records?

  • @TheEmceehero still exist =)

  • Hi guys this is just the jazz mutant from lemur.....the best thing you've ever seen check it on youtube you'll see !!!!

  • SHIT

  • NOT DIGGIN THAT AT ALL ! 1200'S TEAR UP

  • By the time you spend half your savings, setup your laptop running some sort of cheap software, and get over that no matter how cool you think you're scratching sounds, it's just a preset set of samples... would you still think you wouldn't just want to be able to touch REAL vinyl? Why replace something that doesn't need to be replaced?

  • boo!

  • jajajaja eso no tiene ninúna creatividad, eso lo hace un niño, hazlo con vinilo y me lo cuentas.....

    I LOVE VINYL :)

    Spain..

  • Like it or not, either you evolve w. new technology coming out..or get out.

2 tru that it is not vinyl, but as you can tell, you can still scratch...just like all the other teknology out there..this will b @ a club near you..if it already isn't. Don't rate the equipment of this dude who needs practice. I have ol' skool vinyl and digital turn tables...and I will invest in touch screen effects as well cause its 'the business'

  • TOUCH SCREEN!!!?

    WE LOVE VINYL !!!

    tOUCH VINYL NOT screeeeeeeeeeen

    Saludos from: Argentina

  • WTF THat was horrible my ipod can do better

  • what the F*ck is that!!!!

im gonna stick with my technics those are pretty strange

  • old school shit is better because you feel it

  • i cant wait for the claper mixer clap on the fader clap off the fader.

  • where can i buy this??

  • too much delayed to be a pro equipment.....

  • This is future, this is shit

Where are the good old times

  • how much i want that sh%$#@

  • oorible

  • it would be easier to use 2 technics instead, but some love 2 take the d-tour

  • a lot of ppl give the same criticizes when midi controlers appeared in the market, a lot of great Djs are using that kind of products. I think this is gonna work. Besides, tecnology always improve to make the things easier ^^

    nice job.

  • this aint the future, its cool but its just a gimmick, technics 1210 are the fackin don, end of...

  • exactly, technics have been the gold standard since the beginning of scratching....almost 40 years ago... what makes you think that ANYTHING will change.

  • @cdsplaya

at some point in the past playing music straight forward without any human controlled cross fading between two tracks was gold standard. what made somebody think ANYTHING would change?

  • @DjOskaTdnbMassacre And the same was said with Serato, till we found out there was little to no latency issues.

We seriously need to move on, twelves are what? 3 decades old more or less. The overall design hasn't changed much since it's original inception.

  • @DjOskaTdnbMassacre i think it is the future and it already happen type touch screen dj too

  • @DjOskaTdnbMassacre all i needs my technic 1200 a sample a vinyl and a drum machine .

  • @DjOskaTdnbMassacre wow dude vinyl aint gonna last forever its just a fact and this is a lot cheaper although i got say this is a bit annoying that he is using these as if he is in the DMC or some shit i want to see him cue up these fuckaz and use at a club or some shit

  • In time this will be used by all DJs - i'm sure it can do everything a turntable/cdj can do and more. Screens are too big i think. Price will keep it out of the bedrooms!

  • this is not the wave of the future...u always need phyiscal touch mix in....and this battle is good for 10 minutes but gets annoying after and you can't dance to it.

  • Once again some fancy stuff for simpletons. Back & 4th 4ever with the same record? C'mon we're in the millenium. Good for fancy battling djs but no one cares when ur dancing with a fly dimepiece U will only see that in Vegas with the big screen in the club so the billys on the dance flr can watch if they wanna

  • its not even djing...its caled cueing...you can do that with windows media player or itunes

  • @djkoolaj96 idk i seen a little bit of scratchin, a little beat juggling, and a little bit of mixing.

    hmm idk.

  • he should do something like the jazzmutant lemur. competition will favour us

  • wtf!!!! Its not on the market cuz no one would buy that!!!

I guess it quite pricey too! Still i dont like it!

  • yup there no real heart for the dj in dat thing man soon its goin b u think of sumthin and it will do it haha

  • @teps54 but thats the nature of technology... always making things happen from your mind faster. :P

  • this thing is cool, how come it not on the market.

  • Being able to touch the waveform is huge. These technologies and others like the Lemur are I think making DJing so much more intuitive and precise.

  • New way of DJing. Of course he could go back to the turntable but obviously he is trying to experiment with a new medium for DJing besides a turntable. Nice Video.

  • what the fuck you do 2 hours the same shit. change from one of this shit to the oder?

  • this is the dummest thing i ever saw, i bet it cost u an arm and a leg, why dont u stick 2 tha classiucs u can do the same things

  • yeah. all that new stuff sucks, e.g cars!!!

Stick to tha classics!!1 use horses!!

    /irony

  • it sucks!

and it must be expensive too

just download virtual DJ it's the same effect!

  • Ridiculous

    With a big R

  • looks fake! look like some medical screens they have in a surgery room! if they are real they just took it to far! its like not even a d.j anymore more like a fucken transporter movie type of shit! fucken gay they need to stop making stupid ass shit like this, records are the best and cdjs are ok but this is junk! just garbage

  • Comment removed

  • i would like to see this in a club and a dj mixing it, if you are doing scrach then the weels of steel are the only way,

  • nada como las mk 1200 y los viniles vivan los 80 s forever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SUCKSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i find this quite interesting, many vinyl deejays are probably pissed as things like this, but dont sweat it homies. Vinyl will always be the number one choice for deejays and turntablists. and i think many innovative deejays will put this to good use.

  • it looks the biz but cost too much. i think vinyl djs will stick to vinyl and pc djs will just upgrade from mouse etc to a standard touch screen monitor eg till screen using programs like v dj

  • ach der kann doch nixx

  • ach du kannst es bestimmt besser dann lade doch mal n video von dir hoch.

  • nice set up but the wiring looks amence and messy thanks

  • scratching would be interesting but rog809 is right, real djs do so much more work doing that little beat juggle he was doin

  • i think is an intrestin idea for external sound in mixing but this cant match real dj skills!

  • i fuckin want them..

  • what the fuck is this crap??? has to b some kind of a joke

  • sounds like utter shit!!!!!! but cool idea i guess, stick to cdjs or turntable

  • ma va a kagare

  • its called a cue function on a cd player circa 1984

reverse play = still not amazed. but wait, you can scratch. oh ok, the scratching kinda sux. I guess its just not like the feeling I get when the record is in my hand. if you had it setup to send midi cc on the y coordinate you could actually scratch very realistically with serato. BTW if your gonna loop your song over and over then you dont need 2 decks now do you. go practice your VINYL SKILLZ

  • i second that

  • i got a better technoledgy, WHY DONT WE just GET RIp off all humans dj n let the can openners(ipot, software, robots)do the job. this is y everythin now suck-ass,music,art,people,. bcuz theres no story no pain too easy, the internet is part of it.

u got all these turnatblists and scratch djs who put in years of practice and now your gonna drag a finger over a touch screen???? are you fuckin kidding me..

    TABLETURN77 u the man!

  • Fuck you talk some shit

  • What hes trying to say is that its things like this that take the skill out of djing. Its a cool concept but it wont catch on as its to expensive for those who cant mix and anyone who can wont throw away years of practice for this.

  • I thought this at first, as this demo makes it look simple to do rather complex things with a traditional turntable, but then I figured it's just going to open up even more complex potential for 'turntablists' (this title probably needs to be updated now) to explore, when it's fully developed.

Things change, people either stay ahead of the game or get left behind.

Cool concept, look forward to seeing its development.

  • @djcaezar amen for this comment

  • I hope they never release this piece of shit garbage bullshit. What are you a robot pushing buttons or a dj. Get real kid.

  • There's a lot of haters here but I think its a very interesting concept. Would love to try it for myself.

Anybody complaining abought the progress of technology bringing new creative possibilities puzzles me?

  • o men you are suck !!!

  • shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • shit i'd be scared to touch it rofl

  • dum ass he is not really mixing he just showin every one how responsive it is

  • lol this really sux hard...

  • youd probably do better if you just set the playlist bro...cause your not really spinning a set...because spinning implies physical movement, talent, records and real Turntables. i hope whoever uses these gets a virus on your computer music editor interface and make yourself look like a real jackass...cause this proves your not a DJ. thanks.

  • Thanks guys really. my autistic and slightly retarded one armed sister now has a hobby, better yet a job. you cant be serious. if something isnt broken don't try to make a sorry ass attempt at fixing it. last time i checked...real artists can do this job with the right tools...its called dedication you ass bags...stage presence? wow...lazy bastids, the light tech works harder than you.

  • This is definitely an excellent concept. Very promising, and perfect for a stage presence. If a leading and innovative manufacturer picked this up, i would be on board. Very cool!

  • man fuck that I wouldnt trade my wax in for that. It just go's to show that djs will be getting lazy as tecknoligy gets better. but that thing is ugly

  • Futuristic ! Cool !

  • hey this looks like it actually takes some artistic talent rather than ooh wow I can put 2 records on at the same time like 99.9% of other djs.

  • @ChristofTheDestroyer where to begin with this comment??? (speaking as someone who has scratched since 85)

  • I believe that this is the future. I started off using vinyl and I laughed at all the people using those crappy Gemini dual decks when they came out in 94 and I learned a valuable lesson from that.

  • I cant believe all the haters. This was bound to happen. You already have A-Class DJ's like Deadmau5 using a touchscreen mixer, it was only a matter of time before somebody used touchscreen decks.

  • dj market is hard to convert people...look at cd table tops....vinyl djs still have a hard time changing over....i can only imagine trying to convert them to this.

  • wow this is very crappy but its an idea, that needs alot of work.

  • piece of crap and a waste of money. y didnt u just get cdj 1000s, they're probably a lot cheaper and look more professional that that gimmick!

  • what the fuck that's some george jetson shit i don't even want to no how much that shit cost.

  • it's an evolution of the cdjs

juggling with those is wack :D

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wtf!?! sucker DJ´s we don´t need you ...

  • too bad no one here is a dj and that thing is completely fucking useless

  • i agree with whatkatdid :) she is the bestest. as is mr hobbs...job in hollywood...sky is the limit.

  • your timing is way off and youre just pushing your finger on it? you should stop.

  • why would someone waste your money on that. are records just too heavy for you or something? the drunk girls at your frat parties must think its cool.

  • Are you speaking to somebody in particular? The student who made this is not the same person as the dj in the video and there are no "frat" parties in Dundee.

I guess Scott Hobbs who made it is also wanting to embrace new technologies. I think this makes digital mp3 mixing a lot more tangible.

  • what is the name of the track at 0:30 -- the one with the female vocals? thanks!

  • Jaylib- the red

  • big shout to the Dundee boy that invented this. But tell me, whatever happened to fingering your vinyll. I remember the day when i cracked open the sexy sleeve, smelt the goods, and proceeded to finger my purchase furiously....... records not hookers by the way....

  • wow, but where's your touchscreen mixer!?

    props for the jaylib loop!
