Back in the day when you could count the great guitarists without the use of extra hands, Alvin Lee was one of my favorites. Thank you so much for posting this. Hard to find this album.
great stuff-my favorite track on my favorite TYA album-jazz-rock-blues-great tight band and I think Alvin was quite content with the level of fame he garnered-
Saw Them in '72 in Munster Germany.... supported by none other than Robin Trower ....... awesome gig. This is one of my fave albums with this my fave track
I couldn't say for sure. It does resemble a demolition and that may have the intention of John Fowlie, who is credited for the design and photography, but Iooking closely at the actual cover, which I have here in my hand, I think its brush ;-j
Thanks ELGROOVER for putting WATT album out here. This was always one of my favorite TYA albums. Alvin Lee is simply one of the best guitar players ever!
This was the 2nd album I ever bought. I would listen to a side of it every Saturday morning at my local record shop while I saved up my paper-round money.
Hadn't heard it for decades, got it again this year and wondered if it would still sound as strong now? No disappointment wh@soever!!!!! (No papers to deliver either, which is a bonus!) Love it as much now, if not more, than I did then! ☺
Thanks for your comment 'sam'. It's music from a gre@ time when more people still had an 'open ear' to experimental blending of genres. There may be a more diverse availability of different music today but it seems to have become much more compartmentalised now, which is a pity. I miss the wonder of those years, never knowing wh@ amazing sounds were coming next!
Has there ever been a time such as now, when the ordinary and mundane has had so much success?
Should have been three songs!! She Lies..as a single!

..this cd used to be one of my fave
''rainy day' cd's.....r & b, rock, and yet
moody, jazzy and introspective in some
places.,,such as this tune, from 3:00

I have always liked TYA because they
have always focused on the music,
the jam, r & b, blues, jazz riffs, etc....
,,,they shunned being 'stars' and
always played 'soul' music, from their
hearts, ...very talented band..this cd
is a glorious achievement, and yes,
one of their best....but, ALL TYA music
rocks.....they set the standard for sure...

yes, I agree with you 100 %...today many
want to be 'stars'...." American Idol, Paris
Hilton, "etc...the focus has gone away
from 'meaning', to almost ' nothing',
superficial, sampling, computer music,
etc.....its sad, but the '60's and '70's
still live on in our hearts and memories,
.....thanks to archives, and fans who
remember and can spread the truth..
