@TgunslingerT frostbite engine is harder to run because it isn't as advanced at cryengine. Cryengine 2 is the most versatile engine out there for looks and performance, but i can't speak for cryengine 3

There isnt. Really its just to see what we can do with the engine and how far it can be pushed. At this point though there needs to be ToD modifications, Ive done some of those before, and higher res textures. You can make Crysis look pretty photorealistic.

@HitaroX you shoutl get the geforce GTX 480 from nvidea. it has over 400 cores, can process at over 1800 MHz, and has 8x the power of a similar card from another manufacturer. plus it can get to almost 105 degrees Celsius. you and your archaic card got nothing on me and the card that i dont own and cant afford.
I recorded while I played but rendered each frame with fraps, so I guess you could say it is rendered to an extent. By not recording sound and not syncing video you save a ton of fps making recording possible.
The reason people dont think it is realtime is because of how fast it moves, fact is its recorded with fraps, no audio and no sync to save FPS. My config also makes sure to lock FPS above 30 and cut down on the far off draw distance and some things that are hidden from sight. When crysis goes to or near 60 fps it tends to run really fast rather than smoothly, you can blame the devs for this nonsense.
This proves how great the gameplay of this game is.

Ive never dealt with 1280x1020, what aspect ratio is it? It could be that with such an odd resolution the compression is messing up the quality.

you show offs wanna know what I have? A fucking ATI Radeon 5700, first video card to ever support TLS, with only 64mb of memory. Yeah, I know. I can barely play pacman, let alone Crysis T_T

@HitaroX you shoutl get the geforce GTX 480 from nvidea. it has over 400 cores, can process at over 1800 MHz, and has 8x the power of a similar card from another manufacturer. plus it can get to almost 105 degrees Celsius. you and your archaic card got nothing on me and the card that i dont own and cant afford.

I recorded while I played but rendered each frame with fraps, so I guess you could say it is rendered to an extent. By not recording sound and not syncing video you save a ton of fps making recording possible.

Cryis can look much better than that.
Hell, there is some guy who is recreating the famous Killzone 2 cgi movie in cry engine. It runs in realtime and is playable, too.

The reason people dont think it is realtime is because of how fast it moves, fact is its recorded with fraps, no audio and no sync to save FPS. My config also makes sure to lock FPS above 30 and cut down on the far off draw distance and some things that are hidden from sight. When crysis goes to or near 60 fps it tends to run really fast rather than smoothly, you can blame the devs for this nonsense.
