@MaidenfanCGB Because true black metal is not Satanic. Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone, Emperor, none of these bands were Satanic. Varg Vikernes is a Paganist, the main reason he burnt churches is because of what Christianity was doing to destroy Pagan culture in Norway, but the media portrayed this as Satanism. Then the new wave of black metal came through, seeing what was being portrayed in the media, and became Satanists themselves. Being Satanic is selling out to an image.

@rormeister @rormeister That's only if you consider the later norwiegian scene "true" black metal. ;) What about the stuff that was around well before that? The early Sodom records, Hellhammer, Sarcofago, Mortuary Drape, Bathory, VENOM? That stuff is as blatantly satanic as it gets, and is more of an ispiration for Watain the the norwiegian bands.
