Hard to believe it's been 10 years already. I was at this game in the Pepsi Can. Ray Bourque looked like a Titan when he finally got to hoist the Cup. Truly a magical moment for fans of Ray Bouque and fans of the Colorado Avalanche. Thanks also goes out to the New Jersey Devils for putting up a battle in a hard fought seven game series.

sakic was more of a force in this game than any other. to compensate for the loss of forsberg he became forsberg while continuing to be sakic.

@xAxiom720x Doubtless you've heard the story that Forsberg showed up on the day of game 7 ready to play. Hartley called Lacroix and the doctors and determined that Forsberg would be risking severe internal injury and possible death if he had played. A decade later, some still question his toughness.

If only he hadn't been speared in the LA series. If only Bourque hadn't retired, the Avs could've repeated. Doesn't really matter though. The Avs won. Can't take that away from them.
