While EVERYONE was cooler than the stupid protagonist in this game, Emma was the epitome of awesome. An actual *grownup* - and more so, a hardass, scarred, middle-aged woman? So cool.
just started this game a week ago and still can't get over how awesome she is ~ from the very beginning I was already falling in love with her character... Emmy's persona is nowhere near as blunt and forward as Emma's... I was really hoping to put both of them in a union so it could be like mother/daughter fights than they up and told me she died ( ~____~) urffff
Imagine if Aerith had put up a respectable fight against Sephiroth before dying. Awesome, right? That's what started to happen here.
Now, imagine Aerith then got replaced with some relative from the city, with an identical name except for a dorky letter change (maybe Aeryth), who kind of looked and sounded like her, but never got much character development, and sort of worked the same way in battle, but was actually weaker. That's what ACTUALLY happened here.
It's an epic scene, without question, but the fact that she's immediately replaced with a feeble, bland carbon copy really does diminish the drama a bit. Emmy's in no way as badass as Emma.

Yep she sure is.
I was kinda pi**ed off when they killed her- she was my favorite character in the game. Her replacement really doesn't hold up to her at all.
