The back of the house is not posh!, but it is a working area . I am beset by an giant Leyland Conifer Hedge . which is nothing compared to previous owners collection of reptiles ,Eagle Owl s etc, and a manic frog collector next , Hysteria threatened , and peace returned with their departure . Charles Dickens made a wry comment ree similar re my town all that time ago .. I wont quote !!!
It is quite a big garden, Most ot the planting is left to nature . I dont use bedding plants except in tubs or window box Hedges have a mixture of climbers and things that would have been in the original forest . What is sad is that wild flowers and old fashioned flowers become extinct and dissapear , My favourite garden visited is behind Shakespeare,s house Stratford a Tudor Garden., My rose used a lot in videos was filmed on the one day it was at its best 2 yrs ago Frogs scare me
It's a lolely garden, quite spacious it would appear. I guess you must have planted more flowers since I recall in other videos there are more of them around.
January2010 and my cameraman also is now my gardener and everything else propertywise, The garden is still in need of work. Never got trees pruned last year , due to severe flooding in house and work diverted , Covered in snow right now , but it looks really lovely and visiting birds been enjoying fallen apples remaining,. Last year 2009 the grass was cut on New Years Day!!
Congratulations Shela. It's a nice garden.I pine for a little garden but I live in an apartment house. I have some flowers in the balcony. Best wishes to you.
You can receive Austrian television programs! This is good. There we can talk certainly soon not only in English, but also in German. The pears from your garden taste surely absolutely well. Have a nice week, dear Shela, your austrian friend, Uli
The Conference Pears are the most reliable of the varieties . Home grown fruit is so much nicer in Desserts and Jam.which you can make in a microwave.I make Homemade Bread . That is Comfort Food...Sooty likes rabbit!!
Hope you Enjoy this . It was an impromptu ramble round the garden . In coffee break time . My voice was rough due to a Bad Cold but it held out..As usual we are windswept....
The pianist is David Deveau from
Julliard School of Music New York. I have collected all his Carnaval Schumann videos but sadly incomplete?....

Well it's nice either way. Almost like your own mini-forest in the back I suppose.

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth. "Garden Thoughts"
