    You keep mentioning low fat food options.... and I don't know if you are aware or not.... but did you know that there is absoloutely no scientific evidence that proves eating food high in fat actually makes you put on weight? Fat doesn't stimulate an insulin release either, unlike carbs that are not low gi. According to Dr Atkins, a high protein, high fat (good fats) low carb diet is the most effective way to lose bodyfat... in saying that... you are not having any troubles as is lol

  • Dude having carbs before going to sleep is NOT recommended. and isnt needed. carbs over night translate to fat storage.

    nutrition 101: unused carbs in the digestive track get converted to fat storage

  • @KaraLeigh83 He eats around 250 - 300grams of crabs a day, and 1.5grams of protein per pound of body weight, I think he weighs 170 - 176, dont quote me on that though lol. As for fats, he gets it from egg yolks nuts and oil, not sure how many grams.

  • @RobinEH94 Because fats alone are not a prime source of energy to build off of. Protein isnt either, unless you have an ample supply of carbs in your diet you just cant build that good. I have yet to ever here of a bodybuilder who has 0 carbs in his diet. Why do you think carbs make up the most of a diet split.

  • @ceecobeehan Both fat and protein can become "energy". Why would you need carbs just because it's the easiest "energy" source for the body to use?

    And just to clarify things. It's almost impossible for someone to eat 0 carbohydrates. Everything contains carbs.

    Protein is essential, fat is essential but carbohydrates are not essential.

    Because I'm not a bodybuilder and because I don't know if any bodybuilder eats high fat and low carb I can't say if you need carbs to build muscles "good".

  • @RobinEH94 Anyone who is trying to put on muscle mass will agree that carbs are essential in order to do so. When bulking, usually your carbs will be about double what your protein intake would be, which should be about 1-1.5 g protein per pound of body weight at least.

  • In case if you dont know, the philadelphia fat free cream cheese is a "cream cheese product". It contains all sort of bs (chemical/transformed ingredients) and not considered as cheese. However, if you choose the light version, its actually cheese.

    I don't think it is necessary for you to eat low fat products, is it? There are many experts saying low fat is just marketing plus with taking the fat out of it it loses a lot of good stuff also.

    I think a guy like you can eat carbs & fat nearly as much as he wants to because he burns it off anyway.

    We can see you are in good shape but who knows if you wouldn't be with a regular diet.

    I really like to know your opinion. of course it's different from body to body.

  • @qubiq3 most dairy fat is saturated fat... the kind you wanna avoid, a good heavy dose of good fat is great for before bed, but the fat from dairy is like 75% saturated fat

  • @psufball1 I'd disagree on avoiding saturated fat, it is the most complete fat for energy source. Of course I'm paleo, so I would say avoid all carbs from grains!

  • @lordofultima word to your mother. Paleo right here too brotha! Bodybuilding isn't the healthiest sport, and most of them don't understand the negative effects of whole grains and dairy products. Let alone really understand biochemistry and what the body needs to be healthy and functional. It's annoying to me how people base their impression on how knowledgeable someone is based on their physical appearance.

    Personally I feel like I gain weight by eating a lot of carbs more.

    One more thing I noticed for me is: you should not eat less, you should be less hungry to lose fat. -> give your body what it needs and listen to him. easier said, I know.

  • @qubiq3 I try and watch my fat intake (chicken breasts, I cut off all the fat I can before cookin') since I do eat some cheat meals from time to time, and the other food I eat contains enough fat when combined together.

  • @luimarco oh i wasnt trying to disrepect you your far beyond were i am at the moment keep doing what your doing. just worth noteing that when your insulin levels are up eg. after eating carbs your body doesnt release growth hormone, they work against each other, not that you wont get growth hormone release when u sleep if you eat you will just stop it releasing for the first hour or 2. peace
