That's a debatable argument whether or not it will cause glaucoma. Dr. Gregg Hormer focuses more on how rich he will become instead of people's health, that's just obvious. But I think you are mistaken about going blind, nothing can really make you blind except significant damages to the eyes like the stroma and important tissues that will have an major impact on your pupil.

Hmm....I've been waiting for such a procedure for a long time now. I would love to have this done, however, I do wish there were other color options. Namely, hazel, green or grey. The ultimate color would be golden. There is nothing wrong with dark eyes, I prefer them on some people, but I know that having light eyes (not necessarily blue) would enhance my appearance. This is nothing that has to do with being happy with your eyes, infact some brown eyes have blue pigments hidden underneath, they natural have blue eyes, it's like having contacts in your eyes but not really, you have blue pigments if you have brown eyes, naturally you do have blue eyes but your brown gene and pigments are more dominating, so what this doctor does is removing the brown pigments and KAZAM! You have your "born to be with" eyes.

To me, blue eyes enhance your whole face. You can't really set apart a brown iris from the pupil. With lighter eyes, the sun reflects off of it beautifully--they glisten. According to evidence of how the Iris works, I think the answer is yes.. but not everyone's DNA support such colors I think this is why they are only mentioning "blue" a person with light brown eyes or hazel can get green. a person with very dark brown eyes probably only blue or a dull kind of green. It all depends on how much pigment is removed..

When I wear blue color contacts people stop me and compliment me on my eye color because they're so NOT used to seeing it. The laser surgery burns away some of the melanin to reveal a less pigmented iris which shows the color that we perceive to be blue. I don't really see it as going against nature.. some people's eyes get lighter as they get older.
