Thank you for the upload haven't seen this since you could get it from Xfire. Best days of wow and best Pvp. Yea grinding honor was retarded. I only made it to champion and the top pvpers were pulling 10 000k a week. Needles to say I gave up trying for 14. Cheers to Aftermath on Gurubashi.
PVP is still really decided on gear. Though somebody who isn't a keyboard turner, has bindings and know's their class will more then likely still destroy somebody who doesnt and has decent PVP gear. I disagree with the statement that Vanilla was the most balanced part of the game. Rogues were insanely OP back then and PVP was a lot more straightforward with less attacks, no gemming and just less mechanics overall. BC was when the game was most balanced, cataclysm is alright...but people bitch.
man, those were the good old days where it took dedicated played whom after reaching high warlord where literally unstoppable at PvP. Of course not just because those players were equipped with some of the best gear in the game, but because they had obtained skill on their journey to rank 14. This video is so reminiscent of my warlord (unfortunately i had to quit 1 week before my promotion to HWL) warrior on spinebreaker...... non-the-less, i owned.
The thing that stands out to me the most in this (and other old videos) is how bad most players were back then. People, through various helpful guides, videos, forums and addons, have become much better players by leaps and bounds. I can still remember suffering through my first Molten Core runs and wiping many times on trash because Paladins, Druids, Priests and Mages were terrible at dispelling without some addon to tell them someone has a debuff.
@Esuslol Been playing on the Feenix vanilla private servers with WOTLK and TBC players and believe me, people are still terrible. Yeah they have got some individual skills better but in terms of teamwork, discipline etc they are much, much worse than players back then. Also back then alot of people realised who he was from his rep and gear that they stood no chance; so they just laid down and died.
Nothing special but love it. Brings the memories of the sweet old school times - real pvpers vs newbies, 'cause there were not many peeps playing pvp :).
great clip. have any of you guys saw the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it's awesome, i just downloaded the pack. its got totally every thing in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the new arena glitch. i perhaps shouldnt reveal to people about this but at least it gives you all a fair chance to dl it before i own all of you
Anyone know what the music used in it is? Every since I first saw it all those years ago I have been trying to find out the song names. And yeah, I remember being amazed at the crazy damage and sheer awesome that was Drakkus. :)
Anyone know what the music used in it is? Every since I first saw it all those years ago I have been trying to find out the song names. And yeah, I remember being amazed at the crazy damage and sheer awesome that was Drakkus. :)
@blenderliser First In Flames - The Quiet Place, the second one I don´t remember, third In Flames - Superhero Of The Computer Rage. And as far as I remember, the original had Somewhere Over The Rainbow in the credits.
@fete32 yeah i miss for vanila so much ... it like blizzard took my favorite toy and replaced it with shit tard .... fuck they could make at least couple of servers with vanila
@anonpoolaidsect It's still good, maybe even better...everybody liked it better back then because you could pretty much own anyone if you had the best gear around. Now it actually requires more skill to be any good...
@MadPropzBaller Nope vanilla was much more balanced and gearing correctly was very important. These days you basically get this set because it is best set not because it has best crit chance with highest ap etc. The good days when the highest dps recorded was using a level 49 epic glove item because of game mechanics that people had to learn. They took at the learning curve of wow away. Ohh I miss my fury edgemaster's.
@anonpoolaidsect While I enjoyed vanilla, this post is nothing short of stupid. The game wasn't balanced back then, items were poorly itemized, and people constantly got 1-2 shot. Just because you're bad at arena doesn't mean arena sucks; it just means you're bad at arena (as an example).
@anonpoolaidsect Vanilla wasn't balanced at all. Out of the 3 specs available to classes, only 1 maybe 2 of them were viable. Paladins had a prot spec and they still couldn't even tank successfully, the only dps abilities they had for ret was judgement and SoC. Druids sucked, they were the jack of all trades, master of none (besides mark and innervate lol). BC>vanilla/wrath/cata.
@MadPropzBaller if your telling me you can clear bwl and everything up to it that you need to be able to beat it and get to rank 14 you have no skill? the point was the amount of skill it took to get the kickass gear and rip everyone apart was astronomically harder then what it is now getting to high warlord is nothing compared to getting a few points everyweek from setting on your ass doing arenas like 5 times a week you had to play for months to get r14
@2fnez Getting to rank 14 just required a lot of time...like 4-6 months of nonstop farming. Without rezzi you could pretty much 2 shot people...no to mention most of them didn't know how to really play.
@MadPropzBaller rofl your a fucking idiot haha back then in pre-BC it was all skill... gear was almost just basically a bonus now in wotlk its ALLLLL about gear if you dont have gear in wotlk your shit...
@ellowagono You suffer from the Good 'Ole Day syndrome. Classic WoW was even more imbalanced -- from a gear to skill comparison -- than anything beyond. Back then, if you didn't raid, you simply couldn't compete. Dungeon blues were no match, at all, against raid purples. The only way for a non-raid geared player to compete would be to use horribly unbalanced class mechanics to lock a player down while burning of his health. Which is again, another example of poor PvP balance.
@Esuslol Wrong! If you didnt pvp in TBC and Wotlk you had even less chance to win in TBC. I was an R14 in vanilla and in an average 20 min pug i would get 20 and 4 maybe. In S2 in TBC with full Merc Glad: i would regularly go 50 and 1 or even more in a single wsg or AB. It became too easy to kill someone without resi. I heard it was even worse in WOTLK. The classes only required some minor tweaking in prebc, the balance was nearly there. Very nearly there.
@Esuslol you in shit gear them in good gear is not imbalance you should be rewarded for putting time and effort into something. in real life that would be like you crying about losing to a profession athlete in a sport because they practice that sport constantly.
@2fnez Really? Respnding to a 9 month old comment that was speaking about something from 2006? Professional athletes aren't professional just because they practice more (that is a large part), but the main reason they're able to be professional is because they were blessed with good genes. You can't practice to become 6'6" tall and 240 lb of muscle. You're either born with that body type, or you're not. So terrible analogy there.
@2fnez And vanilla WoW was not more balanced when you had comparable gear. Rogues could lock you down no matter your skill or gear -- World of Roguecraft had a rogue using starter dagger solo'ing Grand Marshall/raid geared players. Vanilla WoW was not balance, to say it was is ignorance or stupidity.
