  • That cathedral is so peacefull!!

  • From 1:58 and on, which pedal provided the huge swells?

  • @atung323 It was a combination of all pedals shown at 2:17. The multi tap delay gave it the backwards swell effect.

  • @Effectology Ahhh okay. Thanks!

  • 1:58 zeldaaa

  • 1983... a merman i shall turn to be

  • aWesome!!! =D

0 dislikes, the way it should be =D

  • if only jimi hendrix was still alive........

  • 2:48 much better imo

  • from 3:42

This is probably the most beautiful sound i ve ever heard..

  • oh my god Infinite Sustain !!!

  • wow 1:58 sounds great

  • I LOVE THE LAST TRICK. AWESOMENESS!! I want a cathedral.

  • O. M. G. Major awesomeness. The angel harp sounds are godly (notice the subtle pun there). Great job. And also, the first person to dislike this video gets "taken care of". No questions asked.

  • from 3:38 ... oh my god...

  • That EHX Cathedral reverb is unbelievable! Can you share with me what Surf guitar track you're plaing from 1:10 to 1:42? I've heard that in some other places, and I'd love to know what song it is. Thank you.

  • @infraredzero

    Thanks!

Its just a punk surf thing I made up for the demo.

its a little bit of every surf song I have heard!!

  • @Effectology excuse me... THIS PEDAL KICKS MAGER FUCKING ASS!!! and the tips and tricks rule great job you guys...

  • how is the seagull and ocean effect made? i can see that you can make the seagull sound by swelling a note in and making a quick slide out but how would you create the ocean sound while doing that?

  • @thricex05

The Sea Gulls were done with a glass slide and a volume pedal.

The Ocean sound was done on another track using the white noise from a Big Muff into a MicroSynth where I raised and lowered the filter by hand.

  • @Effectology

thank you so much. these effects you are able to achieve with these pedals are amazing. would a wah or phaser be able to replace the micro synth's function in the ocean sound?

  • @thricex05

Try a wah, that might work fine if you do not go to high with the sweep.

    Good luck!

    Bill

  • was a volume pedal used in the angel harp one? i dont understand how there isn't any attack

  • seasiology

The Stereo Memory Man was in Multi-Tap mode

with a setting that starts with the delays being very soft and ending loud. This removes the attack of the original guitar. Its a reverse attack effect.

  • Awesome videos! The only downside to watching is that I have none of these pedals at all and therefore can't mimic any of these sounds lol so that sucks but the demonstrations and sounds are really good.

  • Question, why do you insert compression in most of these chains? in front of the chain? what does it do, what is the purpose? does it prevent the effects from having a mind of their own or just cranks the volume? I don't mean just this volume but most of the others as well. I have a compression and don't feel like I am using it right.

  • A compressor pedal will turn the volume of the signal up ,as the signal gets lower in volume.

    This equals longer sustain.

After a reverb it will increase the sustain of the reverb trails or echoes That is how I used it a few of these clips.

Normally I pace it in front of everything to increase the sustain of the guitar signal.

  • I am impressed with how quiet your sound is...in the day, the more pedals added, the noisier the background became. Essentially, (I guess) Electroharmonex has developed their pedals essentially into a modular analog synth system of sorts. What a long way they have come from my old Hotubes and Soul preacher!

    Nice Video!

    Peace,

    ADT

  • Angel Harp was absolutely sick!

  • do they have a video on how to make the intro sound?

  • that's just a reverse delay with the dry signal off, with some reverb on top of it

  • @Gart7 i think they use the EHX Stereo Memory Man with Reverse echo setting

  • siempre me da risa cuando aparece algún gil, siempre aparece uno o más, que viene con tono académico y te dice "demasiado reverb!"

  • kien dijo eso?

  • "Reverb In All the Wrong Places" - Great tricks for guitarists!

  • Ok... GOOD. I was whizzing thru my response_vid on Causes n Effects (makin sure it UPLOADED ok) & "spotted_this" after it played.. I KNEW what I wanted & BINGO ? - yes.. It's perfect my friend.. so? I - WILL BE BACK Then U 2 - will KNOW - what I know... & An added bonus is in "store" ... As ... U will SEE -what I see -IN ALL AUDIO
  • ha ha amazing how about a video showing how to set the gear up, i saw aband and the guy had loads of eh gear and they covered still got the blues by gary moore, at the very end when the band broke down to a slow outro the guitarist pulle off a telephone engaged tone, sounded great

  • The Cathedral Studio Reverb Sounds Awesome! I like the infinite verb. But I was just wondering, can you get those sort of dark type of modulation reverb from an Boss RV-5 with this thing?

  • The Cathedral has the a mode that

is a reverb with controllable modulation.

    Check it out.

  • I read the manual on your site but didn't quite understand this... can you help?

  • There is a mode in the Cathedral called Flerb.

Basically It is a flanger after the reverb.

You can control speed and feedback of the flange

    effect.

  • Thanks a lot, I will! It's right in front of me, as a matter of fact... :-)

  • i want the actual "harp" setting for the EHX SMMwH

  • Pedal setting are found at the EHX forum.

Address is in the description at the top right side of this page.

  • thank you so much for this demo. i have been really anxious to hear what the Cathedral can do and I am impressed! great stuff!!

  • The last one is really great. I might save up some money for one of these.

  • man the cathedral reverb sounds beautiful

  • Awesome vid! I'd love to see you demonstrate how to get those synth sounds from the later Police records, in particular Andy Summers' roland guitar synth sounds in "Don't stand so close to me" and the intro to "Secret Journey."
