My first anime was either Sailor Moon or Pokemon when I was like 3 or 4. That was a good 14 years ago. The anime that got me hooked were DBZ, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Gundam series.

the first anime ive ever saw pokemon didnt know it was anime but then i was like 7 years old and saw bleach watched a whole episode and never saw that show again untill i was 12 now ive seen them all even the new arc aizen for the win

What is Anime?

Anime has a distinct artistic and storytelling style and is very different from western style (American) animated movies.

Japanese anime generally features in-depth storylines and emotionally complex characters. Anime is generally more serious in tone than most American animation and treats the audience like mature, intelligent adults.

Most people are familiar with the Americanized versions of DragonBall Z and Pokemon. However, those barely scratch the surface of real anime.

i love anime i dint know at the time my first anime was samurai pizza cats but dbz was the anime that got me hook on iny types of animes ones for kids like hamtaro pokemon to ones for adults like fooly cooly, i love to draw and read manga, and play video games been a gamer sints the nes days not shure when maybe late 80' sints i was born in 84. favorite dubbing company FUNIMATION FTW.

i really dont know wat anime got me hooked. its kinda hard to say. I watched DBZ when i was like 5, but that was only when it was on that i would watch it. then when i was in like 2nd grade YuGiOh got popular and i started watching that on kids WB every saturday. then when i was in 5th grade one of my teachers handed out this scholastic books pamphlet thing that had a shonen jump magazine w/ Yugi on it so i read it and liked naruto and one piece. then toonami aired their animes and i was hooked

loved this first part, awesome editing. thanks rodney for darkening and editing my messy room in the mirror (it bothered me lol). but I did see many grammar and spelling mistakes in the text. idk if some were intentional but I'm, like, a writing major so grammar mistakes automatically bug me xD hehe once again, amazing 1st part, can't wait to see the next one
