  • i remember my history class being asked in the 8th grade about our dreams for our future. The best answer I heard came from a kid I didn't really like, but changed the way I thought about him. His dream was to get a factory job right out of high school and go to the bars every weekend with a 4X4 pick-up truck that had a bumper sticker that said "I don't take shit from no one!" I'm pretty sure I've seen him at the bar before, and I pray he got his bumper sticker.

  • I can honestly say this video states a true message. Yes it takes time and hard work and sacrifices but if you keep you nose to the grind you will succeed.

  • Dude it is really damn hard to consider yourself a visionary in today's day and age. Everything has been done. Everything has been discovered.

  • hi xaves. do you consider yourself a successful visionary? just a thought. great video.

  • Sadly, most people don't understand that dreams change with age. The important thing is to never stop reaching for our dreams. No matter how far away they may seem or how difficult they may be to reach!

  • well measured and balanced message. i was inspired. thanks, xaves.

  • Ironically enough, we cannot get past the labels. We gotta use them. You did in this very video. The distinction is when we use them with malice and hate.

  • the way i see it, dreams are manifested after work, study, and following the examples of others who have done it before us.

  • darn it! i just found this video and started watching it but have to leave for church. will be back later.

  • Dreamers become achievers and achievers are what made this country great.

  • The one thing that needs to be looked at is the pattern that succesfull people followed before they were a success. And also, those who failed, bankrupt, etc what they did and not emulate those.

  • I loved this!!!! It was very uplifting and inspiring. I needed this!!!

  • hey xaves. you look like one of my university professors, lol.

  • Do you think that we can control the dreams that we have at night time? I know this has nothing to do with your video but I was wondering if you could shed some light on that as well?

  • Ummmm. I get what you are trying to say but there is something missing. Dreams are more than what you mentioned.

  • I have to get my little brother to watch this video. He is struggling with what he wants to do with his life. I think it's because he's looking at everything at once and is getting overwhelmed.

  • Controlling our dreams is an illusion. People who are rich or better off, per se will turn out to be the visionaries you talk about. It's the way the real world works.

  • it is so frustrating having to work so hard and spend so much money in school and stuff. other people just seem to get to their dreams to easily. it's not fair.

  • if any other young people are watching this: follow your dreams. fight for what you want. never lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. and there is a light. the tunnel might be long - but you will get there.

  • i was in a funk and this video did a pick-me-up. Thanks, Xaves511!

  • I know this has nothing to do with the dreams you are referring to. But do you think we can interpret dreams and tell us something about our future?

  • this topic if fascinating. i think it deserves much more time than you gave it. but i understand the short attention span of most people on youtube.

  • You excellent point you made was that we cannot please everybody all the time without exceling. Good moment on the video it was around the 3 minute mark.

  • Taking baby steps, increments but still holding a vision clear is really important. I am happy you mentioned friends and resources as well. There really is no magic spell or pill. It all has to fall together.

  • "Valueable friends are probably few" - that's an overstatement. Sad but true.

  • We can always get into a discussion of what defines a person as "successful" but that's an entirely different video and topic I suppose. Good points on here. Over generalized a bit but good for Youtube.

  • You look like a calm, serene, and reasonable guy. So let me ask you this, have you ever experienced anxiety? Have you ever experimented with drugs? It is not easy growing up today. We have a lot of pressure, let alone following our dreams.

  • i remember being a little girl and having so many dreams. now things are changed. and i dream about what could've been.

  • Dreaming big is good. Making baby steps is the key as you said. It helps to prevent the fall that many people experience. I enjoyed this message.

  • much needed words in today's society where everything is so negative.

  • Thank you, Xaves. I really needed to hear this today! Thanks for making it happen.

  • Follow your dreams and don't let people opinions get in your way. I love that message and the one on this video!

  • I would like to see more examples of videos like this on youtube. This is good stuff. I appreciate it.

  • i enjoyed the points you made in this video. of course, there are other elements like stressors such as anxiety, depression, no money - and all of that which come in too and could knock you way off track. still pretty positive message.

  • @Staceycx058 I agree w/Stacey. But I think it is like a catch22. Going in circles. Using these principles to overcome things and succeed.

  • Oh Xavier. This was a fitting message for me at this time. Just what I needed to hear.

  • What's this. Tell me. Are you. Like me?
