i dont know how, but i randomly came upon this video. the music is actually quite interesting :) btw what is "ragtime" ?

@1rralphh1 it started as a "peculiar-sounding" style of piano playing that evolved out of the music of black churches and mining/logging/railroad camps of the 1800s. The sound was put to paper first by Scott Joplin but it existed long before. As sheet music became more popular the style evolved and became the popular style of music during the era of medicine shows and vaudeville.

Sweet, I never got around to listening to Gary Davis till now.

Some bits sound a tad reminisent of Scott Joplin's 'entertainer' or 'maple leaf' !!
