wow I never even heard of tapped banjo.. its lovely and you all do a beautiful job on this wonderful song.. my friend is teaching himdelf to play it on his accordion, when it is readyii'll put it up.. I just converted my clasiical guitar to a slide guitar due to an injury that ruined my cording arm.. i would very much like to learn your method of playing banjo.. any tips would be greatly appreciated.. thanks for the lovely music to all of you,,
It is a Steward MacDonald kit from the 1970's. My father bought it way back when, but never assembled it. A few years ago he passed it on to me and I finally got around to putting it together.
Very nice I Love it makes me thinking of My Beloved whom I lost three years ago:( This song reminds me of him!! He was of Scottish decent!! I remember him smoking his pipes and the smell of the Cherry tobbacco:) Do you have more of these kind of tunes? Tks. for the memories dj
I have always wished I had lived in Japan for a time, but alas. I gotta say your quintet really impresses me. Simple construction, and a limitless number of sounds. If I played it, it would sound like a cat locked in a cabinet of pots and pans. But in your hands it is outstanding. Must... resist.. urge... to..build....
drunken cabbage sama! did you live in japan for some time? your screen name let me believe so! nice play. i'm making my own instruments as well, and the more instruments i line up together, the more it starts to look like a koto, with its moveable frets... check out "space slitar quintet (1 to 8)" or "orb god (1 to 3)" and tell me what you think!
Thanks all! There are a few plucks in there, but for the most part its tapping the strings against the fretboard. I played and recorded the flute and guitar parts after I recorded the banjo.
Kinda like how it would have sounded if actually written and played in the 1860's.

Very nice. I'd rather listen to an ensemble than an orchestra.
Will you be taking up tap dancing next?

Thank you so much! I could not ask for anything better than for someone to be touched by the music.

If someone is NOT touched by your amazing talent they are lacking somethingwithin.
YOU are a rare gem.
