thats not true. i also drive alot rFactor... with the different mods, and all i can say is BOTH simulations feel very very real.

The behaviour of the cars is in both games awesome - the feeling is different.

GT5P does not simulate oversteer and understeer good at all. It's almost impossible to spin when accelerating out from a corner in GT5P. I think Gt5P and rFactor is equal in physics if you turn most of the driving aids on high in rFactor... And that's not realistic.

It's probalby by far the PS3 game that comes closest to a simluator, but it still has a long way to reach up to rfactor, iRacing and the SimBin sims.

ahm, dont know what u have tried, but for example. if u take a 599 ferrari or a z06 and try with fullthrottle to accelerate out of a corner u will go sideways or turn around.

i play rfactor since 5 years... and gt5p since 2 years, and what i can say is - both are great.

I'm a pretty serious SIMracer, and have played basically every PC SIM since GTR . And I have also played GT5P for a while, but sold it because I got dissapointed.

Well ofcourse you can go sideways out of corners, but what I mean is that you can't do it with same feeling as in rFactor. When it goes sideways, it really goes sideways and when it doesn't slide, it doesn't at all. You never get that feel where you can go with just a little slide out of the corner...

...It's like 100% sideways or 0% sideways, there is nothing between. And some other things are that GT5P doesn't simlute tire wear or fuel consumption. Or you can't even adjust your setup with camber, caster, springs, wings and such...

So for me it's absolutely not a simulator. But It's still the game where the cars behave best for PS3 and really any console. If you don't take it seriously and just wan't to enjoy the awsome graphics it's a great game! And I will for sure get the full version!:)

Mate, the Prologue is just a DEMO of the full version. GT5 is coming end of march with full weather conditions and day/night animations.

the full setup options which includes the whole adjustment of the car, fuel consumption and tyre adjustment will return to the full GT5.

GT5 will be a 80% simulation with a few less possibilities than rfactor.

rfactor got the advantage to set the seat position in the car, or head movement and other stuff - thats great. i am sure gt5 wont feature that.

Yeah dude I know it's just a DEMO, but it was also this DEMO we were talking about, right? GT5P not GT5. And I think GT5 will still not include tyre wear, wich is really poor since I think even F12000 or something by EA simulated tyre wear. And BTW, you can't use more than like 250 degrees of your steering wheel in GT5P, do you know if that will be fixed in GT5?

Don't know what GT3 or GT4 you have, but in mine ther is no tyre wear :P And if there is, it's very bad simlulated, cause I've never felt it. And you can tune, but it's just like, Hard, Medium, Soft . Or High Medium Low, if yopu get what i mean?. Or like on a scale 1-5 where 1 is low/soft and 5 is Hard/High.

And yeah I can drift, it's too easy, no feeling in it at all. Compared to real SIMs.

About the springs you can buy sport springs and race springs (do you want 20 different spring brands???what difference does it make????so yeah 1 is soft and 5 is hard!!! what you want more????

Sorry, but i also drive rFactor, GTR Evo and GT Legends. rFactor got nice physics, but the feeling is not really awesome. GT5P got a way better sense of feeling on the wheel...! okay, the problem of the console sims are the missing settings. i mean all those little features.. incar mirror settings, free driving cam axis, FFB tuning, head movement settings etc... all those things are awesome on rfactor - no discussion.

what do u think do i use? i think i have the most graduated mods.. Historic GT, M1 Procar, VLN NLC mod, TLC, AE86 Club, F1 1988, F1 2009, F1 2006 CTDP etc. and i use also the realfeel plugin.

no way, gt5p got a better sense on the wheel. we can discuss all night long - its fact. make an educated guess why - GT5P is a new development against to rfactor.

BUUUT, GranTurismo is the only sim with real implemented cars. i mean they record all the settings of any car, and implement all properties of any car into the game - thats inimitable.

So, i like both Games, and i am very curious what the full GT5 will bring to us.

dont forget... GT... and i mean GT from GT5P is a sim. not a pure one, but the driving physics and the behaviour of the cars is pure.

The older GT´s, like GT4 are no sims...

true. it was proven on Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson. when he ran the NSX around Laguna Seca in Gran Turismo he ran a time of i think 2:19. in real life he did 2:30 or so. he said the difference between GT4 and real life was because he was afraid to push the car in real life as where in GT4, he didnt have that fear and was able to attack corners with a higher speed. anyway, this vid was sick!
