It's not the school's fault; they made every reasonable effort to accommodate her. She wouldn't participate, so they removed her. It was the right decision; she was negatively affecting the other students.

You do realise nowhere in the Qu'ran does it actually say women have to wear headscarves or even that they should. It makes no metion. It was husbands who forced their wives and made it part of the religion. I just simply can not communicate with someone where i only see their eyes and nothing more. Thats ridiculous. I'm from Quebec and this new story was completely retarded, they failed to mention the dozens of accommodations the teacher did for this student: first, this woman declared that the men of the class couldn't look at her so she made all of them turn around when she gave class presentations, then she didn't want to ever have a male in her group during group projects, these are just a few of her requirements. If she's not happy here let her go back to her own retarded country.

interestingly enough Orthodox Jews also have a strict segregation between men and women during their prayer service. So the mind is focussed purely on God, and there is no distraction. All kinds of schools make rules, and students have to follow them. In France women used the head scarf to commit welfare fraud, I don't see a problem with being able to identify a student. @StanOfGB ...islam does not require women to wear a full niqaab...islam tells women to dress in modesty...as in, puting a scarf over your bossoms...however, some women take it to the extreme...whenever i visit a muslim country like saudia arabia..i dress like them..i dont want to stand out by wearing jeans...i dont understand why she has to dress that way in Canada...i think ppl should dress according to the culture they are in.. if they dont want to be treated diff..

@khashya786786 I like the hijab when it's worn loose, like showing some bangs of hair. I REALLY hate the ones that make it look like a shirt giving birth to a head

i think the situation changer here is the part where they say there is controversy inside of the muslim community on the niqab...that means there own people are questioning it so maybe there should be a change with if you should wear it or not

Neither on of the anouncers had ever even heard of the nikab but they feel qualified to voice an oppinion. Ah yes, the young turks in depth analysis. What these two knuckleheads need to do is study how Islam behaves when it is a minority. How it uses issues like the nikab and halal foods and trumped up victimization complaints etc to exert undo influence over the national debate. It's called "Islamification" and people should look to what is happening in Europe before speaking about this.
