I've never seen them live, which is a dream of mine. I even didn't know they had made a comebakc, anyone knows their plans for the future. As I said since I first heard them, best Irish band... ever!
@storegustaf hey mate - they are playing 4 dates in Ireland in November and December this year (2010): INEC -Gleneagle Hotel (Killarney) 27.11.10; Royal Theatre (Castlebar) 28.11.10; Waterfront (Belfast) 01.12.10 and the O2 (Dublin) 04.12.10 - check out ticketmaster.ie for tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any idea if there will be a DVD or live album from this? I can see guys with cameras up on stage and it'd be great to be able to watch it as if you were up on stage with them.
Glad to see the huge crowd and I hope they are inspired tp continue. There's definitely enough old men tending gardens and pub stools in Ireland already.....These cats ROCK!!
Was there!! They still are THE NUMBER ONE IRISH ROCK BAND...Sorry Eamon wasn't playing drums..But Ray Fean did a superb job! LEGENDS in their own right!!
I saw them 10 times in the 70s and swore if they ever played live again, I'd be there. But work refused me leave so there'd better be a DVD!!
Nice to see them getting the recognition they always deserved because they are THE Irish band and probably the greatest live band ever. Will they tour England?? Please!
Same story tony, I rocked to them in Bray in the 70's when no one and no one would play Ireland. In my in my case it was Aer Effing Lingus who wouldn't let me board the plane in Madrid 40 minutes b4 it was due to leave. Like you, I can't wait 4 the DVD and O'Leary to toss them all onto the dole queue
Fantastic night....I believe Johnny and Ray Fean will be doing a gig along with their brother Donal in an RnB band called the LOST STEPS ar Darcys Bar in Shannon Town December 17 .Promises to be a great night...
Incredible concert. I saw them 30 years ago in a dance hall in Carndonagh. But it wasn't just nostalgia, they actually were bloodly brilliant, and contemporary.
This has to be the best concert I've ever been to, no exaggeration! The energy from the crowd was fantastic, and you could tell the band were really responding to it.
caught them at liverpool university in 70s one of the best concerts ever chatted to devlin at the bar , made my night , class band U2 dont get near.

Johnny's mature rasp now adds something extra to "Trouble". Wish they would come to England.

I used to see this band years ago in Claremorris dance hall and the were brilliant and they still are.
You have to see/hear them live to get it.
Dearg Doom/Horslips King of the fairies are two of my favourite tracks of all time.
