Good enough for me. I photo graphed several planes leaving permanent trails, and several that left no permanent trail... There is something fishy going on.
The one thing the doubters can never get an argument together for is when they fly distinct spray patterns. When they lay down a giant X And then more trails just spring out of nowhere and cross section the X and make Tic Tak Toe grids in the sky. Their "trails" start and stop in co-ordinated spots and the planes disapear. In many cases they fly totally vertical! I don't know of airlines that do that. Do you guys fly on airlines that go straight up like that and make contrail X's in the sky?
Elevation is the key factor in the difference of whether the contrail "sticks" or not. There is very little moisture at high elevation and a lot at lower elevation. The contrail is produced because of a quick compression and decompression of the air/moisture mix, just like your refrigerator and air conditioner compressor works. Lower elevation contrails last longer beause of more available moisture. Cloud seeding IS real, but nobody is poisoning anybody. But that's cool to keep watching ;)
I agree that on average it's drier higher up, but I don't think it's accurate to call elevation "the key factor", because humidity doesn't always correlate with elevation. As I understand it, the biggest factors in contrail formation and persistence are relative humidity and engine efficiency. (Efficient engines turn more of the heat into propulsion, so the exhaust is cooler. This makes it more likely that the moisture in the exhaust will condense.)

Some leave trails, some don't. for those of us that watch these almost invisable planes...we know they aren't commercial planes, so we wonder what they are spraying.. the superbug MRSA is spreading thru our area, could that be one reason? humm
I know you are right. I see the difference weekly. People believe what is the least scary to them, and they don't like the idea of being poisoned slowly.
Yes, there's a big difference between a chemtrail and a contrail, and in the short time I've been studying them I've learned to call the chemtrails that hang in the sky for EVER, "persistent contrails." No one can argue with that term, eh?

Just one thing though, you said this plane is traveling at 50 to 60 thousand feet ? Commercial jets fly is the 30 to 36K feet range. If it is at the altitude you say it would most probably be millitary.

Not much of a big difference between a contrail and chemtrail. Both are very toxic, even contrails, according to NASA.
Both Contrails and Chemtrails can be seen in Bakersfield.

It depends on relative humidity at that altitude, also the type of engine, as well as the air temperature.
Jets can seem to be at about the same altitude, but actually be seperated by a thousand feet, which is enough for the air to be different.
