Halliburton has 13 Taxfree Orgs in the Cayman Islands.

This, I fear, is just another way of using fear to start a "movement," which really ends up just being a popularity contest. It's WONDERFUL that people are protesting, but I wish they'd take an equal amount of energy spent here and go out in their own communities. Make a POSITIVE difference. If you want to restore America to it's "former glory," then fight for what you believe in, not only against what upsets you.

I hope the state legislature raises the state income tax. It is at 4.35%, quite low. We have a budget problem, raise the taxes and then lower them when things get better. Make the income tax progressive while your at it as well.

I've got a much better, more liberal idea: why don't we raise taxes, solve the problems, then keep the taxes and hire more bureaucrats and give the politicians raises for the "great" work they do.

I was there. I took the day off from work to attend this. I met this guy there that was so racist he gave me a ride to my car because I parked on MLK. lol. but seriously. I felt safer here than I did at Omars down the street from there around midnight.

You really need to read/watch more than the left liberal news. Point #1: You would be amazed at how many people involved with these protests VOTED for your beloved Obama! Point #2: Get involved and you will see that is is about more than "just taxes" - heck pay attention to what the people are saying on this video! I am disgusted with how the alphabet soup news networks have portrayed these protests. Anyone with half a brain can watch these videos and see these are not right wing wackos or extremists or rednecks. Look America, these are AMERICANS exercising their freedom to demonstrate their frustration with Fedzilla. I say there were more then the 5,000 they reported because at the time when the choppers flew over to take the pics for the count, not all the people were there yet. I was observing this and at the very LEAST....a thousand more people flocked onto the capital lawn. They should report this and take that into consideration because i say at least 1,000 more came but it could be as high as 2,500 more poeple came after that. Seriously. The left wing media are just trying to down play it.

I was at this tea party and ive gotta say it was AMAZING! What the liberals want you to believe is that this was an event with white right wing extremists! HOwever, there were all age groups which was surprising because i thought i was one of the only young conservatives out there that hasnt been indoctrinated by the liberal professors! And unlike the violent left, there was ZERO violence. And many former supporters of obama were in attendance! I believe that there were around 6,000 people here.

By the way, Bush spent 700 billion on the TARP, 864 billion on the war and Obama has spent 900 billion on the stimulus package, so far.

It was President Clinton that started the mess by ordering the banks to relax lending standards to people who couldn't afford to buy a home. Hillary said that everyone deserves to own a home. She forgot to add at the rest of the tax payers expense. If you reward people for being poor, you'll never run out of poor people. It was the democratic party that started the mess. Despite the war spending by President Bush, Obama has spent triple the amoutn of the Bush administration

The bottom line is the way this counrty is going we need a serious reform for the people. We can disagree and split hairs later, we must first put the governmet back into the hands of the people. It's a wonderful idea but it's never going to happen. However, if our elected officials actually spoke for us and not corporate America, we might do alright. We need to change the way that our elected officials are elected: no more "I HAVE MORE MONEY SO I'M GETTING ELECTED!" How about a real change and real representatives that care about us. Too bad we'll never see it...
