@Homesteadforge Its not really a pinpointer... its a security wand I got cheap that worked quite well as a pinpointer.. I now have a propointer by garrett .. much better and cheaper than the security wand if you buy them new...just get a propointer
Hi Dave.. see my other reply... Yes the gold rings come in sort of the same as pull tabs etc... but if you test them both in All metal you will hear the difference... with a bit of practice.
Hello, I got a Fisher F4 detector about 2 weeks ago, have found over 100 clad coins already and some neat "junk" I live in Nebraska...today I went to a local lake and hunted on the beach part...I use discrimination up to screw cap...how do you hunt a beach ? should I use all metal with only the first 2 iron setttings blocked ? I tested a gold ring and it comes up 30s and reads poptab/nickel. Let me know . Thanks ! Dave
@Svan0s84 I use all metal mostly for sand, including the wet sand. Its gets more chattery as you get wetter but signals still come through clearly enough, you just need to slow down a bit really.
Also, forgot to ask, does your detector discriminate out Junk ie pulltabs, ferrous stuff etc.? I'm assuming that the new 50s and 20s would be a real pain for the discriminating with their iron content?
@madgoldnz yes.. though on the beach I search in allmetal mostly.. there isn't a huge amount of rubbish on the Waiheke beaches. You wouldn't want to discriminate out pull tabs.... thats gold ring territory
HI there, great video. Very enjoyable to be able to watch it in HD too. What sort of camera do you use? I'm thinking of getting a decent camera and making some detecting videos. Thanks :)
who makes the pinpointer you're using?...thank you

@madgoldnz and yeah the 50 and 20 do come in pretty low... but not quite nail numbers... they are consistent 12- 15s on the fisher
