I'm truly "gutted" ......... We were both management/agency & record company stable-mates in the 70's & 80's and roomed together a few times & got drunk together even more often. Kelvin as a man was great & as a musician, singer of songs and making any song he did his own was awesome. R.I.P my friend, you'll never be replaced.

I am so sad at the passing of my lifelong friend. He bore his illness with huge bravery over such a long time. I will miss him so much and British Country Music has lost a huge talent and champion . We wont forget you Kelv.

Kelvin was the greatest country singer this side of the Atlantic with RH coming a close second. I'm very sorry to hear of his problems. Kelvin often stayed with me when he was in the northeast and he could also cook a mean curry. Best wishes, Whitey.

I agree fully with Delbert...the memories of that lovely man with the great voice will stay forever. Hope he is still coping. Feel so sad for him and his family and boys of the band...

Kelvin was one of the great voices of British County music and I dont think he got the due recognition he deseved. He loved his music and was a walking encyclopedia on matters musical. It is so sad that illness has robbed him of the abbility to communicate properly but we have our memories of some great gigs and some geat times . Love the music-Love the man

I have only just recently heard of The Kelvin Henderson Band. They did the soundtrack for the 1977 video Roadracers about Joey Dunlop. This film is making a comeback due to the Armoy Armada fan club running events. Kelvin's music is being played to big audiences now around Ireland. I would love to get my hands on the soundtrack to play in the car!!!!!!!!!
