@CrowleyNL Yes you may actually learn how to properly pronounce some of the basic words you have been mispronouncing all of your life by watching my videos too….
@devman224224 rides rough, removed the front bead lock and that smoothed it out some. on the street, eats tires if mostly offroad knobs. likes to pull the wheel up almost to 4th gear so sit high up on the seat. Stock tank about 65 miles. other than that, i would buy another one...
Thanks for the video. Do you have the measurement of the decibles before snipping the inside of the pipe? I am just concerned it will become to loud on some dual sport rides. Thank you
Not sure I have never worked on a 640 smc but you can pull the muffler apart like you are going to repack it and see if there are any similarities in terms of restrictors and cut them off. You should repack your muffler as a maintenance item anyway every once in a while. There is a service interval for this anyway. Good Luck!
Hi. i have a 2005 KTM Lc4 640 SMC whith twin pipes and a ask if you can tell me please if it is possible to make this modification on the exhausts of my bike ... and if so, how can I do it.
I did the exhaust mod this morning. Sounds great and throttle response seems better. I also did this blais jetting kit. and removed smog too. thanks for the tip.
RonnieMX - thank you for this video. I did the work this morning, and it went very smoothly. Love the lower toned rumble. A bit "blatty" at maybe 2,000 RPM, but I can live with that.
I replaced the Exhaust FMF Q-4. Installed JD jet kit installed. All done at the dealership time of purchase. They even put a bigger battery in it more amps and still wont start ktm flew out a tech to fix it started for him after he worked on it. Still wont start cold will kill the battery every time
You have to get rid of the pollution control first. If the carbon canister is harboring gas the engine sucks it back in at start up, then floods. Also take the screw out of the catch can between the swingarm and the engine. It can fill with fuel and do the same thing. These should fix the problem. A dealer cannot remove your pollution control for you, not allowed. Some bikes had a defective cam decompressor the new cam # 78636010033 @ $211.14 may be under warranty. Do the cheap stuff first!
Thats a good question I bought it in the USA I wonder if they are set up the same in Canada or are they all just like this on the Americas continent. Is yours different? I'm curious! Thanks for your comment
I have the California model 2008 and it never wants to start off the battery you have to kick it I have a battery tender hook up too. The dealership jump starts it and runs it for a while then shut it off and then it will start off the battery they say the battery needs to be charged It will never start cold only when it's warm.
Mine did the same thing. Watch my de- smogging videos and the catch can video to see the bike runs now. Starts instantly. About 120$ worth of parts and a few hours of your time and it will start perfectly and be much faster and stronger. The videos explain how and if you or anyone reading this still needs help, send me an email. Subscribe, I will be adding more video in the near future to make our bikes faster, better.. Thanks!
