This is what I love about asian food, not just japanese food. Asian cuisine has SO MUCH variety compare to american food. and a lot of authentic and nutritional as well. They dont use a whole lotta ketchup or BBQ sauce.

If that heart was beating, that means it was skinned alive. Disgusting and cruel. I don't hate Andrew Zimmern, but I do disagree with some of the stuff he does. For example, eating shark fin soup in China and eating this poor frog's heart.

@eclecticsw But why, exactly how much more would it hurt the frog if it were skinned alive? Frogs don't really have a concept of death so would not really feel that type of terror plus when they take the heart out it's dead anyway and I presume that's when they skin it actually so it isn't even hurt by the skinning.

Do you seriously think anyone would skin the frog alive and risk having it jump about like crazy? He probably killed it by gouging the heart out and then after serving the heart he went back to skin it.
