What makes Shooting-D the best Ryu player in the world? If Daigo is considered to be the best player in the world at this moment through both tournament results and word of mouth, how could anyone else be better at playing the character he uses?
The Guile player is Muteki-Guile, arguably the best Guile player in the world while the Ryu Player is Daigo Umehara, one of the best 2-d fighting game players in the world and the second best Ryu in Japan, the first being Shooting-D
The skill was in applying enough pressure to prevent the Guile player from retaliating successfully, reacting well enough to prevent himself from being knocked out, and retaliating at just the right moment. I won't say that there was NO degree of luck but it really took an iron will to turn a losing round into victory like that. The Ryu player is known for doing that, though.
End of first round
Daigo - "....."
Guile player - "LOL WTF!!! Good game?"
