Self-important American prat. Alas, Cambridge has plenty like him, usually doing an MPhil in something as intellectually compelling as basket-weaving.
Before you criticize other people, you should reflect upon yourself. That was just one American that he interviewed and you used one man to generalize the whole nation? Do you see the irony in your judgement? And not everyone share the same sense of humor, either. Obviously, the reason why you love watching Borat is because that is the sort of humor you're drawn to, but you must remember that not everyone is like you. And what if the American's seriousness was part of the humor, too?
@sf49ersrule Yeh he did. He went to my college (Christ's) and one day I hope to see a portrait of him here like other famous alumni. Would be hilarious.
Sacha baron cohen is amazingly funny, but I don't know he manages to keep such a straight face and stay in character, so weird to think he studied history at christ's college at Cambridge himself. hahah omg did this guy really say that women are not creative? it has been scientifically provent that women have more creative minds than men. Im a man and im saying this... what a dumbass
@eldavido761 haha no, friend. women have been 'liberalized', and they STILL cannot keep up with men in all creative areas of life; music/art/technology/architecture and many more. They can EASILY do what they're trained to do, and maybe more efficient than men in some areas; but they canNOT think outside the box. All the major, creative innovations in this postmodern era have been men. Scientifically proven my ass lol.
@Daimionidas i have to disagree with u because u are simply wrong. most innovations in this era have been men only because women are not equal in all parts of the world. How many women have u heard of that are major surgeons? they are mostly men, while women are more than capable of being surgeons, society is dominated by men. if u decide to look at the video called "school kills creativity" by Sir Ken Robinson. It is mostly about schools, but he rests my case about women's creative capacities
@eldavido761 My friend I was talking about innovations in a women-liberated western world. They've gained freedom, but not acclaim in the forefront of innovations/creations. They're wired differently; a man seeks to do things differently, to change things, to find new ways, invent new styles, to win acclaim for being the first to do a particular thing; women follow their instincts, and are not interested in these things. Women seek protection/love/security/good genes. Men want to own the world.
@eldavido761 women r equal to men already, what u want is to have more rights than men. in most cases women do have more rights than a man e.g. in divorce cases
@RelativelyHostile1 It's been proven time and time again that women mature intellectually and emotionally faster than men. And the divorce thing comes from the fact that men think just cause all they wanted to do was stick their stick into the wrong hole, they don't have to deal with the ground hog and run away scared. Behind every man is a woman that keeps his head on straight, his temper even, and his reasoning clear.
@aneal138 okay listen to this, i always see women go bitch mode being hysterical but u never see a man like that. dudes r usually calm. whenever they do get angry, with another man they should fight and the outcome decides the quarrel (however i do not condone violence this is for extreme cases of anger, where it can only lead to violence). also, ur reply is trying to say that men can't think for themselves without a woman? sounds ridiculous to me
@RelativelyHostile1 Wow, you are living in denial major. So if men are usually even tempered and but you still say that they should fight it out (totally contradicted yourself, trying to please both ends of the spectrum, but your platform basically disentigrated) so explain to me why some men beat their wives, blow up building, stab and kill others, rape, etc. Now I understand that some men aren't like others, but the word "usually" even said lightly is a very strong word. Are you like 16?
@aneal138 You're living in denial, sweetheart. A man is usually grounded, calm thinking, rational. He has his own agenda, and is unaffected by anyone else's, especially a woman's. Men who lose control of theirself, or are run by emotions like women, aren't men. Any man that needs a woman to keep his head on straight, isn't a man. He's male...but not a man.
men are calm and rational?? HAHAHAHA biggest bullshit ive ever heard , who commits the most crimes??? murders? overall violent acts? that would be men . And in order to kill someone , you've got to be in a bloody uncontrollable rage . Men can't control their emotions.
@Jigpikchu I can kill you, and not be enraged. You believe that lol? Anyways I'm a man, so I'm always potentially dangerous, lethal. If the need arises, the outcome can be lethal. That doesn't mean I spend all day in a rage. Generally, men are calm grounded creatures. Ruled by logic. And the reason why we have the overall total lol? When women fight its cute, usually never lethal. Its adorable. Can't kill jack. They just can't. *winks*
That was an extremely ignorant comment. Men are stronger than women, and therefore men can usually commit crimes against both men and women. Women can usually only commit against other women or children. Women are usually not as creative or as creatively intelligent as men.
@Daimionidas um no, 'calm thinking' and being rational is not a 'male trait'. Both men and women can be calm thinking and rational, or flustered and irrational. Furthermore, all human's are 'run by emotions', men may not be as adept at expressing them quite often but you are affected by them just as women are- and there's nothing wrong with that. What is his- unaffected by anyone elses agenda ESPECIALLY a woman's? Defensive and insecure much? Not terribly rational either, darling.
@Bumblybee256 I smiled when I read your comment. What you think of me=rubbish. That's your own mis-perceived opinion. I'm a man of control; I don't know what kind of men you deal with, nor do I care to know lol. But I know what I am. The only emotions I express, are the ones I allow. Currently smiling at your cheap attempts with
'defensive+insecure'...you need to do MUCH better than that, darling, but I can excuse you because you probably never met someone like me. *winks
@Daimionidas Sweetheart, I know for a fact that most emotions are not under voluntary control. You just stay in your socially constructed 'man box', fine with me. It's a big scarey world of people questioning your masculinity out there.
@Bumblybee256 Darling you're right, strictly from your vaginal perspective of course. Own a penis, and the world looks different lol. I dunno why, I find your denial cute. Makes you interesting. In a novel way, of course.
@Daimionidas Yes yes, I view the world with my vagina. You've never been a woman, so you have no idea what the world looks like as one. Pretty stupid thing to say. My denial of your ability to voluntarily decide on your emotions is based on neuroscience. You're not in control, you've been conditioned to view all things feminine as negative and remain in your socially constructed man box. Careful now.
@Bumblybee256 Sorry I just can't take you seriously; I find you cute, in all honesty lol. I love women darling, and I find your quip about neuroscience a lil arousing. I love all women baby, nothing negative about them; I'm not one of the 'hurt' types with an agenda. Only box I wanna remain socially constructed in yours, sweetheart lol believe that.
@Daimionidas ............and you think I'm taking you seriously? I find you amusing and quaint. Someone who believes he isn't manipulated into 'man speak' and talks as though he thinks others find him attractive. Nothing negative about women yet you've spoken about us in derogatory terms for the past several messages. Ok then, you have 'no emotions'. You're 'strong' and 'in control' and everyone who acknowledges a basic part of humanity is weak. Whatever floats your boat, dear.
@Bumblybee256 *smiles* Darling I smile everytime I see a reply from you. Lazy smile as I skim thru your girly harangue, I think its cute. I have emotions darling..that's why I smile at your replies. Its an emotion I allow to be expressed baby.Emotions have stages; the onset of it, and how you choose to handle it. If an emotion is necessary, I express it; if not, its repressed, it becomes null. Glad you find me amusing tho lol I admire your fiery-ness, such an excitable little thing *smiles.
@Daimionidas Oh god, you may smile at my comments, I nearly die of boredom halfway through yours. The dullest people are the ones who analyse themselves far too much. And I'm well aware that men who patronise women are simply insecure in themselves. You aren't annoying me, I feel for you.
@Bumblybee256 *smiles lazily* missed u baby, been away for a week..ur messages and faux new age wisdom, all that..fem power. so cute. lets keep the correspondence up shall we? You're bored, yet you spew lengthy harangues at me. *grins* and btw I'm talking about emotion/reaction. Because objectifying an emotion with girlish reactions, makes it more substantial. Anyways I've missed you *grins* smiling in anticipation of your replies xoxo
@Bumblybee256 lol come on. Your fieryness is sexy. Turns me on, your stubbornness. The way you 'stood' up to my maniliness, taking those redundant but cute shots at my masculinity. Prolly the only feminist I came across that made penis envy sexy. But this pretend boredom isn't darling.
@Bumblybee256 "You're bored, yet you spew lengthy harangues at me"<< is it just mere coincidence that after I said that...you cut your harangues down to one defeated sentence? Are you that easily daunted baby? We clicked, you and I..admit it *grins
@RelativelyHostile1 Interesting name: "RelativelyHostile". So are you a man, one that you claim is usually calm? I'd like to go ahead and present some research, since I have a BS and I don't believe in saying things without at least attempting to back them up with numbers: The BJS stated in 2005 that males are 10 times more likely to commit murders than females, males are 3 times more like to commit alcohol related violent offenses, and male to female incarceration rate is steady at 9:1.
@RelativelyHostile1 And in all fairness, I understand that you have a point to make, and so do I. I'm not a lesbian, nor do I like Women's Studies as I think it is just a bunch of whiners wanting rights which I think is a total waste of time (I was forced to take a course in it and hated it), I have a phenomenally wonderful fiance, and we see eye to eye, but these remarks from these closed minded men here are just what is making the world a sick and twisted place to exist in these days.
@aneal138 okay, you have sent me quite a few comments here (i think u replied to me in one of them when it was "Diamionidas" whom replied back to u).
anyway, i think it is kind of instinct for men to fight amongst themselves, i.e. as it is observed with most males in the animal kingdom. In the society we live in today these actions are frowned upon greatly but, i said men should only fight in extreme cases.
@aneal138 .... also, wife beating is a stereotype hyped by the media, most of the time its the other way round but men don't go to the police because it is humiliating.
my name is 'relativelyhostile' because i thought it sounded quite original and sorta cool, the hostile referred to in my name is to do with movie/ video game kind of violence (if i ever were to upload videos). it wouldn't be real violence only movie violence.
@aneal138 okay...finally, about men flying planes into buildings? those were terrorists which have a religion that favour men over women so it could've only really been a male terrorist who would be doing that, because terrorist organisation is like an army there is even less reason for a woman soldier to do this (i.e. majority of soldiers are men).
and yes my point is that men r treated more unfairly than women are, and if these responses seen too 'hostile' they r only for counter argument :/
@aneal138 just wanted to say i have nothing against u, and my original comment was to "eldavido761" because i didn't agree with the comment they posted.
@eldavido761 btw, some of history's biggest creators are either self-taught or home-schooled. I knew a girl, she had music in her genes (im a musician btw), had a GREAT critical ear, and she loved music. When I asked her about pursuing it professionally/creatively, she said she's not interested; she wanted love, and to raise a family, that was her goal in life. She's being true to herself. Most women want to cleave onto a man, dedicate herself to him. Stop being brainwashed by feminism, friend.
@Daimionidas exactly why America is in the shape it's in and Afgahnistan ended up in the shape it was in.. Men wanting to control when and if anyone should be able to breathe.
@aneal138 You're saying...that because we want to control women, that's the reason the world is in the shape it is today? I'm sorry, your vagina isn't that important; the world doesn't revolve around it. There are other more important reasons.
@Daimionidas I think it's good you're looking at other people's opinions, and defending the 'stay at home mum', but i would have to STRONGLY disagree that "most" women want to leave to a man/dedicate herself to him. Just saying! Im not one of those noobs who like to start comment wars, but I felt it needed to be said.
@Zelanore You see, some women realize that when its too late; read too many articles about 40 yr old successful women feeling empty inside because they chased a man's dream instead of following natural instincts. They're usually depressed as hell, even with their success in the business world, but its too late to start over at that point. And its ok to have an opinion, its cool.
@IntrepidMoocher From the top? Is that a bar? "The Top" one of those smelly joints where all these "brilliant" men come up with their ideas and sit around talking to other guys. that's kind of gay don't ya think?
@IntrepidMoocher I think that you and Daimionidas missed the point. The point of Cohen's Borat is not so that he can diss women, but rather reveal what kind of bigots exist in high places and influential positions. This clip is supposed to show that even in the most presitigious institutions such as Cambridge, there are a professors who share a very backward view of men being superior to women.
@IntrepidMoocher If you ever attend British universities, you'd know how many professors there are racist and sexist, but they can get away with it because they are virtually untouchable by the system :S
@IntrepidMoocher Indeed. Not an institution that scored 81 out of 90 on the rankings (which Portsmouth actually did) while doing a degree in something ridiculous like 'Media Studies' :3 So much for male intelligence....
@Lumosnight - Perhaps you wouldn't like to rewrite that reply in English, which you actually did, while doing a degree in something ridiculous, like 'Grammar and Punctuation'. So much for female intelligence.
@IntrepidMoocher I didn't understand a word you wrote just now. Try writing something coherent for once, you 'butthurt' male. And no, in UCL they don't offer courses like that - but I'm sure in Portsmouth they do. You'd know more about it than I do, since you went there.
@Gary190tube I take on board what you say - you have obviously met far more Americans than I have, and those I have met did come across as being in need of a humour transplant, much like the Little Miss Prissy American guy in this clip. Maybe American humour differs widely from ours, and yes, I am a Briton, but one who has never crossed the Atlantic. Is American friendliness really, really genuine or is it just skin deep? Jerry Springer???
what i want to know is, do they only let the ppl with the stereotypical british accent into cambridge or summink? cos i swear hardly any of us have that accent
What? Out of the handful of people in the video, there's a distinct variety in the accent, including someone with a very obvious accent from America. There are people from all over the world and all over the country in Cambridge, with accents to match. The only criteria is academic ability.
@Zejex15 Yes please - preferably a jammie dodger. If a professor at Cambridge University specifically maintains that women are incapable of meaningful thought and are not psychologically or innately or spiritually creative then it's absolutely true, but I think most men have always known that anyway if only from experience and personal observation. Now go and tell that to Harriet Harman.
What an ignorant little prick...'This is a serious university'. This is the university which produced John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Eric Idle, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry and of course Sacha Baron Cohen. Serious university indeed!
@theivyleaguer i think its funny how harvard and yale try their hardest to look like a British university anyway from their old pine wood furnished librarys to their cathedral architecture. Americans will always be influenced by the british taking that the language you speak is English aswell lol. not to mention that cambridge has gave birth to the smartest mofocker of all time Steven Hawkings.[
@theivyleaguer You sir are actually a retard. you forget when you say we are second to you that you are basically a more corrupt less democratic version of great britain get over yourselves you are a lazy fat stupid race that doesnt deserve to live.
@weruti10 nevertheless he probably works for Merrill Lynch now, making a shit load and probably extremely pleased with himself...what an unfair world :p

@aneal138 okay listen to this, i always see women go bitch mode being hysterical but u never see a man like that. dudes r usually calm. whenever they do get angry, with another man they should fight and the outcome decides the quarrel (however i do not condone violence this is for extreme cases of anger, where it can only lead to violence). also, ur reply is trying to say that men can't think for themselves without a woman? sounds ridiculous to me
RelativelyHostile1 3 months ago
@RelativelyHostile1 Wow, you are living in denial major. So if men are usually even tempered and but you still say that they should fight it out (totally contradicted yourself, trying to please both ends of the spectrum, but your platform basically disentigrated) so explain to me why some men beat their wives, blow up building, stab and kill others, rape, etc. Now I understand that some men aren't like others, but the word "usually" even said lightly is a very strong word. Are you like 16?
aneal138 3 months ago
@aneal138 You're living in denial, sweetheart. A man is usually grounded, calm thinking, rational. He has his own agenda, and is unaffected by anyone else's, especially a woman's. Men who lose control of theirself, or are run by emotions like women, aren't men. Any man that needs a woman to keep his head on straight, isn't a man. He's male...but not a man.
Daimionidas 3 months ago 10
@Daimionidas Niiiiicely said. That philosophy has served me well in my continuing unmarried years!
Agent1W 2 months ago
@Daimionidas
men are calm and rational?? HAHAHAHA biggest bullshit ive ever heard , who commits the most crimes??? murders? overall violent acts? that would be men . And in order to kill someone , you've got to be in a bloody uncontrollable rage . Men can't control their emotions.
Jigpikchu 2 months ago
@Jigpikchu I can kill you, and not be enraged. You believe that lol? Anyways I'm a man, so I'm always potentially dangerous, lethal. If the need arises, the outcome can be lethal. That doesn't mean I spend all day in a rage. Generally, men are calm grounded creatures. Ruled by logic. And the reason why we have the overall total lol? When women fight its cute, usually never lethal. Its adorable. Can't kill jack. They just can't. *winks*
Daimionidas 2 months ago
@Jigpikchu

Bumblybee256 1 month ago
@Bumblybee256 I smiled when I read your comment. What you think of me=rubbish. That's your own mis-perceived opinion. I'm a man of control; I don't know what kind of men you deal with, nor do I care to know lol. But I know what I am. The only emotions I express, are the ones I allow. Currently smiling at your cheap attempts with
'defensive+insecure'...you need to do MUCH better than that, darling, but I can excuse you because you probably never met someone like me. *winks
Daimionidas 1 month ago
@Daimionidas Sweetheart, I know for a fact that most emotions are not under voluntary control. You just stay in your socially constructed 'man box', fine with me. It's a big scarey world of people questioning your masculinity out there.
Bumblybee256 3 weeks ago
@Bumblybee256 Darling you're right, strictly from your vaginal perspective of course. Own a penis, and the world looks different lol. I dunno why, I find your denial cute. Makes you interesting. In a novel way, of course.
Daimionidas 2 weeks ago
@Daimionidas Yes yes, I view the world with my vagina. You've never been a woman, so you have no idea what the world looks like as one. Pretty stupid thing to say. My denial of your ability to voluntarily decide on your emotions is based on neuroscience. You're not in control, you've been conditioned to view all things feminine as negative and remain in your socially constructed man box. Careful now.
Bumblybee256 2 weeks ago
@Bumblybee256 Sorry I just can't take you seriously; I find you cute, in all honesty lol. I love women darling, and I find your quip about neuroscience a lil arousing. I love all women baby, nothing negative about them; I'm not one of the 'hurt' types with an agenda. Only box I wanna remain socially constructed in yours, sweetheart lol believe that.
Daimionidas 2 weeks ago
@Daimionidas ............and you think I'm taking you seriously? I find you amusing and quaint. Someone who believes he isn't manipulated into 'man speak' and talks as though he thinks others find him attractive. Nothing negative about women yet you've spoken about us in derogatory terms for the past several messages. Ok then, you have 'no emotions'. You're 'strong' and 'in control' and everyone who acknowledges a basic part of humanity is weak. Whatever floats your boat, dear.
Bumblybee256 2 weeks ago
@Bumblybee256 *smiles* Darling I smile everytime I see a reply from you. Lazy smile as I skim thru your girly harangue, I think its cute. I have emotions darling..that's why I smile at your replies. Its an emotion I allow to be expressed baby.Emotions have stages; the onset of it, and how you choose to handle it. If an emotion is necessary, I express it; if not, its repressed, it becomes null. Glad you find me amusing tho lol I admire your fiery-ness, such an excitable little thing *smiles.
Daimionidas 2 weeks ago
@Daimionidas Oh god, you may smile at my comments, I nearly die of boredom halfway through yours. The dullest people are the ones who analyse themselves far too much. And I'm well aware that men who patronise women are simply insecure in themselves. You aren't annoying me, I feel for you.
Bumblybee256 2 weeks ago
@Daimionidas ....and how you choose to handle an emotion is not a 'stage of emotion'. Just a little piece of my wisdom for you there.

@Daimionidas uh huh, hmmm? Yup. Sorry, just fell asleep after the first word there.
Bumblybee256 1 week ago
@Bumblybee256 lol come on. Your fieryness is sexy. Turns me on, your stubbornness. The way you 'stood' up to my maniliness, taking those redundant but cute shots at my masculinity. Prolly the only feminist I came across that made penis envy sexy. But this pretend boredom isn't darling.
Daimionidas 1 week ago
@Bumblybee256 "You're bored, yet you spew lengthy harangues at me"<< is it just mere coincidence that after I said that...you cut your harangues down to one defeated sentence? Are you that easily daunted baby? We clicked, you and I..admit it *grins

@RelativelyHostile1 Interesting name: "RelativelyHostile". So are you a man, one that you claim is usually calm? I'd like to go ahead and present some research, since I have a BS and I don't believe in saying things without at least attempting to back them up with numbers: The BJS stated in 2005 that males are 10 times more likely to commit murders than females, males are 3 times more like to commit alcohol related violent offenses, and male to female incarceration rate is steady at 9:1.
aneal138 3 months ago
@RelativelyHostile1 And in all fairness, I understand that you have a point to make, and so do I. I'm not a lesbian, nor do I like Women's Studies as I think it is just a bunch of whiners wanting rights which I think is a total waste of time (I was forced to take a course in it and hated it), I have a phenomenally wonderful fiance, and we see eye to eye, but these remarks from these closed minded men here are just what is making the world a sick and twisted place to exist in these days.
aneal138 3 months ago
@aneal138 okay, you have sent me quite a few comments here (i think u replied to me in one of them when it was "Diamionidas" whom replied back to u).
anyway, i think it is kind of instinct for men to fight amongst themselves, i.e. as it is observed with most males in the animal kingdom. In the society we live in today these actions are frowned upon greatly but, i said men should only fight in extreme cases.
......
RelativelyHostile1 3 months ago
@aneal138 .... also, wife beating is a stereotype hyped by the media, most of the time its the other way round but men don't go to the police because it is humiliating.
my name is 'relativelyhostile' because i thought it sounded quite original and sorta cool, the hostile referred to in my name is to do with movie/ video game kind of violence (if i ever were to upload videos). it wouldn't be real violence only movie violence.
and yes i am a usually calm man
RelativelyHostile1 3 months ago
@aneal138 okay...finally, about men flying planes into buildings? those were terrorists which have a religion that favour men over women so it could've only really been a male terrorist who would be doing that, because terrorist organisation is like an army there is even less reason for a woman soldier to do this (i.e. majority of soldiers are men).
and yes my point is that men r treated more unfairly than women are, and if these responses seen too 'hostile' they r only for counter argument :/
RelativelyHostile1 3 months ago
@aneal138 just wanted to say i have nothing against u, and my original comment was to "eldavido761" because i didn't agree with the comment they posted.
RelativelyHostile1 3 months ago
@eldavido761 btw, some of history's biggest creators are either self-taught or home-schooled. I knew a girl, she had music in her genes (im a musician btw), had a GREAT critical ear, and she loved music. When I asked her about pursuing it professionally/creatively, she said she's not interested; she wanted love, and to raise a family, that was her goal in life. She's being true to herself. Most women want to cleave onto a man, dedicate herself to him. Stop being brainwashed by feminism, friend.
Daimionidas 3 months ago 13
@Daimionidas exactly why America is in the shape it's in and Afgahnistan ended up in the shape it was in.. Men wanting to control when and if anyone should be able to breathe.
aneal138 3 months ago
@aneal138 You're saying...that because we want to control women, that's the reason the world is in the shape it is today? I'm sorry, your vagina isn't that important; the world doesn't revolve around it. There are other more important reasons.
Daimionidas 3 months ago
@Daimionidas I think it's good you're looking at other people's opinions, and defending the 'stay at home mum', but i would have to STRONGLY disagree that "most" women want to leave to a man/dedicate herself to him. Just saying! Im not one of those noobs who like to start comment wars, but I felt it needed to be said.
Zelanore 2 months ago 4
@Zelanore You see, some women realize that when its too late; read too many articles about 40 yr old successful women feeling empty inside because they chased a man's dream instead of following natural instincts. They're usually depressed as hell, even with their success in the business world, but its too late to start over at that point. And its ok to have an opinion, its cool.

BennyDACHO 2 months ago
@IntrepidMoocher I think that you and Daimionidas missed the point. The point of Cohen's Borat is not so that he can diss women, but rather reveal what kind of bigots exist in high places and influential positions. This clip is supposed to show that even in the most presitigious institutions such as Cambridge, there are a professors who share a very backward view of men being superior to women.
