Great guide. I've been Affliction since I started Warlocking and do well there but I wanted to try something with more burst damage, especially on Ragnaros. Gonna give this a whirl.

OH Btw, Use ButtonTimers to track your cd's.  Also guys make sure you macro that shit head imp to fucking cast firebolt every time you fart or cough because if you dont he sits there and cast only about %80 of the time. Macro that little shit. Give you a decent boost to dps.

You should consider trying ForteXorcist for keeping track of dots/cooldowns among other things. It will probably take some playing around to get it to do what you want, but it can do just about everything. The level of customization borderlines on obscene.... Godspeed.

how do u know what the hit cap is? Like where does it tell u that? That's what confuses me the most when speccing....What are the hit caps and how do you determine that on your toons?

I have to disagree with the points in the shield. Its only gonna be a DPS increase when your gettin hit with fire spells (and I understand in this x-pac you have a good chance of the spell hitting you being fire). I find the points in backlash to be more useful. Alot of people say 'well you shouldnt be getting hit', to which I respond 'so you really dont need your sill nether ward!'. Most of the time you get hit, its with AOE.

Good guide man. I've read on forums etc tht it is actually better to recast immolate rather than use fel flame to refresh the DoT, as it is a dps decrease to do so. Also, do you not use Curse of Elements? i generally cast it in-between immolate and conflagrate as u have a small amount of time between casting immolate and actually being able to use conflagrate.

BoD should be applied at 1-3 seconds, so you still get your last tick, but it shaves off those last couple seconds which ultimately result in a small dps loss.

Bane of Doom should be refreshed in the same manner as Corruption and Immolate, you can refresh BoD any time between 0.1-14.9 seconds remaining without a DPS loss. The only DoT we have that shouldn't be clipped is BoA because the latter ticks hits harder and clipping the spell would mean you're replacing one of the big ticks with a smaller ticks, this however is not the case with BoD.

Is it better to cast immolate when its going away, or use felflame to refresh it? I have tried both and the dps doesn't change at all, but I prefer felflame as it gives me the idea of doing "more dmg" cause its instant XD but tbh it complicates things even further :P

nice guide tho i just wanted to point out that crit is at the same level as haste until you can get 2500 haste rating. for the next immolate tick.

also if you cast bane of doom right after a immolate cast it won't delay your conflag cast.

also as for bane of doom - i believe you are correct - but in the guide i refer to your spell priority - not any kind of opening sequence.

as for felhunter and felguard - it looks like they'll get better - but im referring to how the imp benefits destro in several ways and that aspect is missing from affliction and demonology.

Yes I am running with the latest version of Simulationcraft.
