Cartoon Network has gotten really retarded lately. They cancelled Sym-Bionic Titan, which was a good show in my opinion, and renewed their reality shows. The reason they cancelled Sym-Bionic Titan was because they thought it didn't have enough merchandising potential. Yet apparently shows like Destroy, Build, Destroy and Hole in the Wall do.
Their best decisions recently were probably the continuation of Generator Rex and the remake of Thundercats. Those are the only 2 shows I watch there.

The othersiders was a good show because the evidence was way better than any other ghost show at the time, but christmas season came and the othersiders was gone.

The depressing thing about the direction Cartoon Network's been going is that it's just so...typical. By going the reality show route and and trying to mimic the success of other franchises, it's sacrificing what used to be a very definite network identity. In this culture of homogenization, it's nice to have something with a distinct identity, the way Cartoon Network did from 1992 until around 2005.
Plus, showing live-action just contributes to the sorry state American animation is in.

I like Live Action shows on CN. Chowder was only funny in the first season then they made them tone it down on the crude/ possibly adult humor.
Something rediculous about other siders is they feel the need to do the close ups and say "Hey...this is real!" all the the time. I want to go up to them and say "Bull Shit!" and walk away.

The depressing thing about the direction Cartoon Network's been going is that it's just so...typical. By going the reality show route and and trying to mimic the success of other franchises, it's sacrificing what used to be a very definite network identity. In this culture of homogenization, it's nice to have something with a distinct identity, the way Cartoon Network did from 1992 until around 2005.
Plus, showing live-action just contributes to the sorry state American animation is in.
