  • thanks. this rely works for me! i liked!

  • I use the last two slots in the glove leaving the middle two finger slots empty. Deep pocket nun the less. Good tip.

  • i thought for an infielders glove you want a shallow pocket? im getting a new infielders glove, i play shortstop and 2b, do you think i should do your method?

  • dude, this feels great! i catch and my heart of the hide had a huge problem with not having a deep enough pocket and tended to be uneven. i worked the glove alot and it still somewhat had that issue. i did this, and the pocket is insane and keeps the pocket deep and glove sides even! i wont switch back from now on! thanks bro!

  • Thanks that help a lot

  • Do another baseball bag video! and all your gloves

  • it breaks the glove in faster too. my friend yefri taught me that last year when i was on the giants

  • okay im 16 and never played baseball before but all my friends say i have a crazy arm and all the adults around me say i throw atleast 85, i wanna tryout for a travel team or highschool but i dont have a glove to use all i have is a teeball mitt from when i was a kid and im broke my mom said she would buy one in september but i want to practice til than how do i get a good cheap glove?

  • @TheGOODMUSICRADIO one word: eBay

  • @tarhee1fan lol thanks, but can anyone tell me if thats good like should i continue to play baseball?

  • Its calle pengiun and @ plajmatupis sorry if i spelled it wrong some middle infielders do that for example brandon phillips

  • That "trick" is only for outfielders and some third basemen. This is not used in middle infielders because for a middle infielder you want a quick release of the ball and you dont want that big of a pocket.

  • yo tengo el mismo guante :D

  • that actually felt realy comfortable thanks for the tip

  • Great great advice, totally feels awkward at first but you get so much more strength and leverage when you're shutting the glove closed around a ball, pocket is significantly deeper, everyone should try this

  • you can make a glove mallet too

  • i just got an easton baseball glove and it didnt feel right but your deep pocket method helped a lot thanks for the advice

  • i know everyone probably says this but i figured out that this was best way to use the glove by myself when i was ten years old. but the reason i did was because i broke my pinky and had a hard time closing the glove. so i slid ring finger in there and never looked back

  • I think it's a must for outfielders really it helped me a lot also was taught that by a team mate! Also don't bend the thumb and pinky parts of the glove to much best to keep them stiff nothing worse than a floppy glove :)

  • were did you play?

  • @BerkeleyBuilt auburn university, padres, and mets minor league

  • Wow thats a really help full and easy trick Thanks. 5 stars and subscribed. great advice.

  • @ray21maci thanks ray!

  • @ray21maci what do you mean 5 stars? you can only do thumbs up or down

  • Thats what i do, and i love da sound it makes when it hits my pocket when im playin catch , i been doin this for amonth, but i dont do it in da infield, only out

  • i would use that in center field

  • Which team did you play for?

  • This is a great way to wear a glove!! Only problem I have is when I wear it like this it feels like it might fall off.

  • that really works i catch everrthing now

  • How does it work for in fielders cuz I play third

  • @kottonmouthking236 some infielders don't like it because the pocket is too deep.

  • @kottonmouthking236 hey i play baseball im a catcher and i no u might not believe me but wat ev... having two in the pinky helps the in feilders get a much quicker transition because the pocket is bigger u dont need to close ur glove as much just giude it in with ur other hand will ur in the process of giuding it in ur glove grabe ur grip and throw it... idk if that helped u its easer to tell wen u watch someone.

  • @kottonmouthking236 infielders shouldnt need a deeper pocket, you should never have the ball in your glove long enough to hold it there. pshh rookie

  • i mean it touches the thumb, but it hurts like hell

  • @MrLaxnyc i have a fairly new pro preferred rawlings baseball glove.Do you think the microwave would damage the glove in anyway?

  • @MrLaxnyc i have a fairly new pro preffered rawlings baseball glove.Do you think the microwave would damage the glove in anyway?

  • yea it feels weired at first but i do it cause i play outfield and u can close it alot quicker and the pocket is a huge different

  • @MrLaxnyc no doubt...good advice

  • is that glove a heart of the hide or pro preffered

  • @badgerhockey99 pro preferred

  • @YouGoPro k thanks

  • the best way to wear a glove

  • @isenor15 tru, i believe it

  • You are a RIOT! Somehow while providing a great tip you had my gut hurting the entire time. It was something like John C. Reilly, and Will Ferrell combined!

  • @eggliketread Thanks egg! ;)

  • @baseball4life337 good point! infielders may not want a deeper pocket because they want to get the ball out quicker.

  • this was awsome qorked out perfectly for my new first base glove

  • @jrod101322 awesome..it took me a while to get used to, but once I did, I loved it!

  • Swenson is twice a's good a's rawlings

  • what kind of glove is that, what model

  • i hav been doin tht for years n im 15

  • @nyfan1318 you da man!

  • on my a2k aso you cant adjust the pinky slot, but i really like this idea

  • ive done that for a year and now i do it with out thinking about it now. its just natural 4 me now!

  • i use the deeper pocket when im playing 1st base

  • @Cobyt48 good idea

  • i do it excepy i keep my index finger on top of the glove

  • i wish i could but my a2k's pinky slot is too small

  • @badgerhockey99 loosen up the pinky ties. They are usually the big laces on the outside of the pinky finger hole.

  • @YouGoPro k thx. i will do tht

  • cool idea. never thought of that and theres plenty of room in the pinky slot of most gloves to do it.

  • @loueville77 Try it out. It will feel weird at first, but you'll come to love it! BTW, I watched your pitching vid; very nice, keep up the good work!

  • ive done this my whole life

  • @BoXbReAkEr5123 Try it, even if you are just playing catch. It's gonna feel weird at first, but I promise it makes a big difference in the end. I love it!

  • i thought everyone did this? haa

  • Also, you can flare (bend backwards) the pinky and thumb sides of the glove to shape it more like an infielder's glove.

  • @nycbobo322 Yes, kind of like the glove with the red laces I did a video on. You can see that one has a pretty good "infielders shape" to it.

  • like the vids keep it up

  • @AmigosDisgrace Thank you for checkin them out!

  • I'm glad someone finally made a video of this! My dad taught me how to catch this way since day one and it does wonders on your gloves pocket and break in time on new gloves.

  • @GeraldQuarles Yeh, that's a great point, it does really help forming a nice pocket when you are breaking in a new glove. It seems (to me) like it works faster too (on a new glove). What do you think?
