I saw him Friday in Westhampton Beach, NY, and he was absolutely amazing. "Seeds We Sow" material is similar to "Time" with the open tuned guitar arpeggios accompanied by shifting mood in the vocal. I love Mac, but I'm so happy he was able to develop his own ....voice up to this point. For much of the gig, the fans went crazy for the Mac stuff, but I prefer the solo stuff (Even though the Mac stuff is great!) Seeing him tonight in Town Hall, NYC. Psyched!
This always amazes me... I go onto a video where there is such a talented artist like Lyndsey or ther under-rated Mark Hollis, for example, and all the comments are complimentary. However, If I go to videos about football teams or more 'teeny bopper pop' then people are arguing !!
@TomGreenUK I find it can get tiring, yes. he doesn't use long nails either, so he has to put plenty of effort into his picking - and play a whole gig, of course. he talks about this song on another clip and he was worried about messing it up because of the unusual shapes he's throwing with his other hand, it's really hard not to foul notes too. Plus he's singing! Check out Richard Thompson, another great songwriter/player.
Hopefully, Lindsey will continue to reach across even more generations. I'm 21, and I went with my boyfriend for his 20th birthday, along with his mom whos always loved his music! This was an amazing show!!!
I saw him play this in Glenside-- SOOO GOOD!!! I was right up front, and this song as well as Treason and Shut Us Down brought me to tears!! It was one hell of a show!! Keep rockin' Lindsey!!
reaching across 2 generations? My girlfriend and I were 24 when we went to this show, and we still weren't the youngest. But yes, kudos on your comment
I took my father, who's 52, to this show in St. Louis. I'm 30, and I couldn't help but wonder if Lindsey is aware that his talents are reaching across two generations of fans. He's such a unique talent and he certainly was on his game that night.
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW WHAT GUITAR HE IS PLAYING IN THIS VIDEO!? PLEASE HELP!!!

I love this....he is truly amazing and I think he is absolutely the best finger picking guitarist out there. :o)

Is he using three fingers and a thumb simultaneously and independently? Amazing however he manages to pull this off.

Would the pillocks in the audience not just shut up during the song and show their appreciation afterward?!

His speed during the chorus is amazing!!! I keep trying to match it, but it's so fast!!!! He's one of the greatest if you ask me!

To any guitarists out there - doe sit get very hard to play guitar in this style in your late 50s? His fingers are working very fast here.
