First, please let me state that it's "Ton" and it means "your." Second, I won't debate my knowledge of Jason Robert Brown. Do I believe you are entitled to your opinion? Absolutely. That being said, I rated this, "Nothing special." She sounds like she's trying to sound exactly like the original recording without really putting much of herself in the interpretation. I don't think she'd be able to get away with singing this in Barbara Cook's master classes, truth be told.

Some of the vowel issues might be from the fact that (to my ear) she has a very Southern pronunciation when she's singing not in her head voice (I'm from the Midwest where anything south of Ohio is South). A good example is around 3:36 when she switches to her head voice. There is quite a difference.

I think this is one of the best renditions I've ever heard along with Heather's (from psychosoprano). Two totally different inpterpretations, two amazing performances.
