I am so glad I'm not the only one who thinks of Assassin's Creed when they hear "Edge of Paradise". I also connect "Rule the World" to AC, although more to AC 2 than 1. A lot of this video looks like cutscenes I don't remember from the game, or am I just not that observent?

Yeah, it's meant to sound all like that. XD The albums Epica and The Black Halo are stories told in musical form, based off of the story Faust. Epica is the first part and The Black Halo is the second. I believe it's set in a similar time period to Assassin's Creed, too, so that could also be why the music fits in so well :D
The intro is technically a separate song, Interlude 1, which lasts for only about a minute and a half. It flows into Edge of Paradise, though, so it's considered the instrumental intro to the song.
"When The Lights Are Down" is a great song, yes, but I end up listening to "Descent of the Archangel" a lot more. I think it's because of the drumming in that song. xD
I like that song although my personal favorite from Epica/Black Halo would have to be "Feast for the Vain", the opening gives me chills when I hear it.

The lyrics fit perfectly well with the game, and despite the lack of fitting scenes this was still a cool AMV.

A lot of it comes from old E3 videos, I think. That and the camera angles might throw you off.

I wouldn't say perfect, but it is very, very good with the small flaw or two, as are with all games. XD
This song is one of my favorites by Kamelot, but their entire albums are great. Ever hear their song "The Fourth Legacy"?
