I've got to be fair and honest here, this compressed and destroyed version here on YouTube doesn't do Lucie justice at all. I replayed the video here and realized that the compression ratio is so terrible that the song is almost pointless to listen to.

She actually does a better job than I thought. But, it's not better than the original, still. Nonetheless, you can find a much better version of this on the internet somewhere. I use beemp3. But use whatever you want.

Well, of course the metallica version is the best. This artist just sings it in a beautiful different way and uses the piano as her main instument. Some people like this version and enjoy listening to it. What's wrong with that?

No offense to Lucie, she did a good job. I just have to be honest here: No matter which version I've heard. No matter who does it or how they do it or whatever, nothing.. and I mean nothing ever tops the original album version of this song by Metallica. It's just one of those songs that is best left in its original form. Perfection is what it is and all the attempts to make it better have not succeeded and that's how you know that a song is perfect the way it is. It can't be bettered.

Not much anymore. I rarely, if ever, listen to Metallica. I used to when I was a kid, though. I would be willing to admit if it was better... but it's not and I think anyone with a critical ear and an open mind can hear that.
