Yor assertion that it required a body to become a soul is a bit of a non sequitur. 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 indicate that it is not necessary to have this body in order to have a soul. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved... to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

It looks like you didn't read my comment. Anyway, I've checked how many times Jesus used "Verily I say unto you,". It is used 77 times and the comma is always after "you/thee". He never used the expression "Verily I say unto you today," so he meant "...,To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."
Ok! So you place the comma after today. But isn't that like Jesus told the truth only that day? "Verily I say unto you today, but I lie another day." Ha! Ha! That's an old trick man. It makes no sense to place the comma after today. I was fooled by this one too.

How that he was caught up into paradise. Paradise was down until after Jesus rose again. The man n Jesus went down to paradise, but after Jesus rose, it was taken up. Ephesians 4:9-10. Ever been knocked unconscious and then woke up with a headache and it was hours later? It may very well be that way for the dead, God will reassmeble them from the dust and to them it will be as though thousands of years went by in the blink of an eye.

@Phaedron777 Not true at all! The body goes to dust, but not the spirit. Paul said to be absent from the body (death) is to be present with the Lord. Ask people alive today that have died. How do u explain Matthew 27:52-53? 2 Corinthians 5:8? When u take your last breath here, u will take your next one in heaven or hell. Really read all the scriptures. Don't just pick n choose the ones u like. Acts 2:38 is still God's plan of salvation. "Apostolic Productions" on here. God bless u !

Wow, this is out of context...Of course Jesus did not acsend to Heaven when He came back....He went to the lower parts of the earth first to preach to those in prison..(hell) if He did not ..how fair would that be to everyone who died before. Lazarus and the rich man were talking to each other ...both were under the earth seperated by a gulf ..both were aware and conscience of there previous lives on earth....one was comforted (paridise) one was HOT and thirsty (hades)

@6:29 angels are not females. you give a lot of interpretation to the Word. why should we take it for granted?
you have not been there yet, to know what it's like after we die. Jesus spoke to Moses and Elijah and they were not dead. you forget that there is no more time and space in God's world. you try to give human meaning to something that happens only when we're not in this body anymore.
now i'd like to know who is the one not following the Bible in your split from the original group.

Yor assertion that it required a body to become a soul is a bit of a non sequitur. 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 indicate that it is not necessary to have this body in order to have a soul. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved... to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

It looks like you didn't read my comment. Anyway, I've checked how many times Jesus used "Verily I say unto you,". It is used 77 times and the comma is always after "you/thee". He never used the expression "Verily I say unto you today," so he meant "...,To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."

Ok! So you place the comma after today. But isn't that like Jesus told the truth only that day? "Verily I say unto you today, but I lie another day." Ha! Ha! That's an old trick man. It makes no sense to place the comma after today. I was fooled by this one too.
Once you die you "wake up" at the resurrection. There is no waiting. The bible describes things from human TEMPORAL perspective that's why you're confused. Heaven is eternal - that is NOT TEMPORAL.
