  • " you don't have to be afraid, just wet it all over "

  • I have a ? For whoever....How to get melted shoe rubber, Off of the mufflers. It was there when I bought the bike, and I have added to it as well.. Not sure of the best way to get it off. Thank's for anybody's help, yl

  • LEFTY!

  • It is funny I don't own a motor cycle but I am subscribed to people who make videos about them...

  • I have no idea why I'm watching this, but bring on part 2!

  • 1, that car wash look so cheap and watery 2, NEVER let you "furby" sponge, shammy leather on the floor!!!!!!! You will pick up unwanted grit that you can see and then you go and rub it up and down you machine :( not a cool move bro

  • your bike is so beautiful!

  • And here I have this furby thing. It has a slit I can put my hand into. Pretty sweet.

  • I don't know why I cringe when you get instruments and all wet. You can ride in rain, so it shouldn't be a big deal... It just... doesn't feel right. lol

  • ahh Kink, Kink.. We have a kink.. We're Live!!

  • Think il give part 2 a miss. That was to much to take for one day.......

  • I must be crazy... Watching this guy clean his bike for 6 mins for no good reason what so ever. ... ! ! ! !

  • you should make a video on how to make a porno XD

  • i got a a 2009 zx-6r in lime green but the weather is so shit right now lol your so lucky blinky to come from australia, it's shit here in the UK :(

  • I love that bike! Great vid.

  • does it never rain @ where you live? Because your bike is ALWAYS as new...

Me, i drive 1 day, and i COULD start all over..

  • FUCK DA PAINT KEEP YOUR CHAIN CLEAN BRO AND FREE OF RUST.0-0

  • Just wet it. ooooll ova just wet it

  • ur vids are very helpfullll thanks ! just got a bike so i feel ridiculous asking ppl basic stuff :)

  • My bike has an inch of dirt on it, I best clean it soon

  • my bike is dirtyyy

  • Is it bad if I found this "DIRTY"

    dun dun Scccc

  • Just thought I'd add in here... don't put your sponge on the ground unless you like getting grit and rocks scratching your paint work and/or plastics :)

  • That is one smexy motorcycle!

  • WHY AM I WATCHING A VIDEO ON HOW TO WASH A BIKE?

i might as well subscribe.. :)

  • 4 people used too much water on the instruments

  • 3:54 its like he's explaining a condom story :P

  • One thing I would do is, try not to place the sponge on gravel/concrete it can pick up small particles and instead of washing your bike it will leave swirls like sand paper. and i'd probably plug the exhaust so you wont have to worry about it

  • another piece of advice: careful ridding after you wash the bike. brakes might not operate properly, tires might be slick from wash/wax. and keep tire shine away from your motorcycle!!

  • i never thought i would need a video like this! and then i bought a bike and was completely lost as to how to shower it Lol

  • @KYLEmann35

go to a dealership and sit on one, a good rule of thumb is if you think you're too big for the 250 then you are lol, if it doesnt feel right then try the ninja 650r, it's just a bigger bike for beginners

  • can u do a vid on how to chew gum while washing a motorcycle please?

  • it wast even realy dirty

  • @MrJetmea He just did it as a demonstration.

  • I have every thing he said except the motorcycle so i guess im stuck with a bucket of soapy water :(

  • can i wash it with a tooth brush?

  • Water only touches my bike when the bike is extremely dirty/muddy. 99% of the time I use a spray cleaner/polisher.

  • Ok I followed these instructions and I washed my 07 ZZR600 for 1st time today. It turned on after the wash fine. But few hours latter I tried turning it on and I really had hard time, took me at least 5 tries using the throttle. What could be the cause of this?

  • The exhaust is good to keep clea'Inside' i bought an Exhaustplug. wich u just put in the exhaust... No water :P

  • Awesome bike man! I love the 250r. It's such a great bike for commuting around town, better than a 600 I think.

  • Keep the wash mitt off the ground!!! You’ll pick up tiny pieces of sand and gravel which ill scratch your paint.

  • thanks for the tips but gotta say i dont think ive ever said "thats what she said" so many times. lol. thanks.

  • You have the hairiest arms ever....and sounds like you live in the jungle.....

  • Comment removed

  • People who are afraid to wash your bike: WTF do you think rain is?!?! Hahaha "but my gauges might get wet"...you dumb fucks! Just don't sit there with a hose on jet setting 2 inches away from your display. People that are afraid to wash it are afraid to ride it. Grow a set pansies.

  • R6 is my first bike and I am so happy with it. I knew a 250 would only be fun for a day or two. 5-6 137lbs tipped towed. ;)

  • 1080p and full screen = kinky

  • Aw Kink. We have a Kink.. hahaha

  • haha are you wearing your helmet while washing blinky?

  • I'm soooooooooo glad I didn't get a 250

  • @Marksman2oo7 whys that

  • @joshxxt because I'm 7 mounths into having a 600 and I've BEEN used to the power

    I would hate to have a 250

  • @Marksman2oo7

me too. too many people say start on a 250 but a 600 is perfect. if you can't handle a 600 then you're just a straight up pussy.

  • @axellness my first bike is a 2010 CBR600RR ABS.. no problems handling it. I am 6ft 200lbs.

  • thank you mate, i bought my bike yesterday and on my way home it was raining. i wasn't sure how to clean it and found your video here.

  • Blinky get that wash mit off the ground!, it will pick up little spects of dust, dirt, rocks etc, and you WILL scratch your bike. love the videos btw!

  • do you need a motorcycle license to drive one of these in the us??

  • @whitestang99 no, you can drive a motorcycle with just a motorcycle permit, but you cannot drive at night, with a passenger, and on the highway.

  • it says to use "cold" water to wash in manual. it says it specifically.

  • i got me a ninja and well i power wash it and never had a problem just wax and polish after still looking better then new :)

  • DUDE, YOURE KILLING ME WITH THESE VIDEOS. WHEN I BUY MY NINJA 250 THE DEALER SHOULD GIVE YOU 80% OF THE COMISSION FOR TALKING ME INTO BUYING ONE. awesome videos.

  • awesome video.

I just bought a 2008 250R, and I'm already planning to clean it.

"Don't be afraid" was a good quote. As I'm a bit nervous pouring water over the bike. Now that I see you do it with confidence. I'm going to do that too. haha

I have decals on my bike, would washing it with water and soap have any affect on it? like losing the ability to stay on?

Btw, do you have a video for waxing?

Thanks for the very informative video!!

  • @AMGCLK55 i'd still put wrap or tape over the keyhole and exhaust so as to keep water out. a bit of water inside the exhaust is ok and normal, but you wouldn't want too much water blocking the fumes exit. i also like to keep the electronics as dry as possible, though a motorcycle is built to also handle rain. if you live by the ocean, i would always use cold water and give it a good rinse at least once a week. more important than waxing, get a cover it'll save paint, plastics and seat

  • Tip ( I own a car wash XD) When u start washing, wash first the uper part pf the bike /car that is the cleanest one, then u change wather/ material u use 4 cleaning and wash the lower body, there are oils from the road and u dont want to mix those oils with sand and stuff and rub it on the tank . Nive video!

  • @qpae123 * Nice video ! ( was tiping with laptop on my stomach lol)

  • "Okay, were live." LOL Nice.

  • oh no... a kink... *pans to a crumpled mess of hose*

    lol :D

  • You remind me SOOO much of Eddie Izzard, the way you speak. Great videos :)

  • you should use cold water too!!! not warm!

  • I have no bike, but now I feel like going out and just washing some random persons bike.

  • why r people scared of washing there bike i bet they ride in the rain they cant control where the water goes then

  • sounds like your in a Jungle

  • yeah you can spray water all over your bike, nd its all okay, just never fuckin use a preasure washer as it can take your paint off, nd get into the engine caseings. that a big no no.

  • AND REMEMBER PEOPLE'S DON'T PUT YOUR SHAMMY AND THE THE SCRUB ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE IT CAN PICK UP LITTLE PIECES OF TRASH AND CAN SCRATCH YOUR MOTORCYCLE/CAR

  • @cvasquez1010 I don't know how many times I've said exactly that to my kiddos. :) I've gotten in the habit of doing a quick driveway sweep/spray down before washing just for that reason.

  • @cvasquez1010 Also dont let the bike dry out before the bike has been washed. scrubbing dry surface will also result to scratches.

  • i go over mine with a damp soft rag every day dirty or not and before and after i ride and a wax every now and then

  • Ive never power washed a bike ... and seen so many green mouldy pins and contacts on older bikes... very carefull bout how i wash my bike ( especially instrument cluster ) ... but hey thats me ... each 2 there own .... nice bike !!

  • I love the soundtrack of Australia in the background

  • is it ok to get the ignition key-hole wet with the water spray?

  • @adrianrubi that would be bad ONLY if it where freezing conditions, and the water would turn to ice. otherwise after, spray some non-graphite based lubricant inside the lock and it will be just fine.

  • @SuperStormfighter ....ok..WD40 then:)

  • No no no no no..... wash mit on the ground was a big no no. If I ever drop my wash mitt on the ground it gets retired.

  • when ur bike is all drie after a wash u should oil the chain

  • I would like to add, that you should NOT wash your motorcycle after a ride, or when it is very hot. The extreme heat combined with the relatively cold water will create a tempering effect which in time, will cause the metal component to become brittle. This will eventually cause a crack in the metal, and thus ruining your engine block, or gearbox, ect.

  • @dsquared061987 Especially the brakes; never pour water on hot brake rotors. They will warp.

  • dude your going to mess up your engine tryna be a badass with your mottorcycle chill the love out!

  • yo sweet videos...im getting my Ninja 250 2010 (Limited Edition) delivered tomorrow. YEWWW!!

  • I've got it all except the bike :)

    Nice bike.

    Barefoot. LoL

  • wont wATer ruin the dash?

  • can you do a video on how to chew a gum while wasching a motorcycle pleasE?

  • Dont think your bike really need a wash.. mine is a tip in comparison (hense why i am watching this)

  • yo blinky, i saw a vid saying you should not put water in ur exhaust at all???

  • hey Blinky :) you and 13mordeth are the best at giving informations about motorcycles! a watched all of your videos, and they are all good!!! :)

  • This was actually really informative. I didn't know It was okay to get the instruments wet. Now I know. Thanks Blinky!

  • Top down cleaning method is best! Use two buckets if you really want to keep it clean, no point mixing dirty water from the mitt back into the clean water bucket!

Use two different cloths for the paintwork and the metal parts of the bike, first I clean the metal parts with a cheap cloth to get the majority of the black dirt off. Then a quick clean with the washmitt after the paintwork is done.

I would use a drying towel or chamois to make it a streak free. I have now run out of characters.

  • Hey blinky... Next time just put a rubber glove or bag over the pipe then no water inside the pipe. But nice little bike dude.. Keep up the good work..

  • @Zx7rking Good tip :)

  • @Zx7rking or put a condom over it haha

  • Blinky, thanks for your videos bro. I bought a ninja 250 and have watched most of your videos, and they are very helpful! Much appreciated.

  • @LoveBoatCaptain1991 Thank you for enjoying them

  • @blinkycab he never said he was enjoying them.. just that they were helpful.. JUST KIDDING IVE ENJOYED THESE AND LEARNED THINGS

  • @SinkorSwim1000

Everything is water resistant on motorcycles.

They are designed with rain driving in mind.

As long as you don't go driving your bike into a lake, you'll be fine lol

  • nice bike!

I have the 2002 kaw ninja 250, same colors!

Gettin ready to go out and spit shine my girl here soon hah

  • hey man i love your videos and i was wondering what camera you use thanks in advance ;)

  • heya blinky, one of your other vids i recongized the area you went through, wondering if you can tell me where you got ur bike from? and gear. cheers mate

  • @Rikkaru101 Hey man, Pro Motorcycles (pro kawasaki) Moss Street :)

  • hi mr. umm, im 16 n im getting a bike, i was just wondering is the honda goldwing washable even with all those electronics im kinda scared

  • @NigaCigar

lol is this a real question?

If so, all motorcycles are made to be able to withstand water....

No one is going to make a vehicle that will shit out on you if you're driving and get caught in some downpours...

    that's just effing retarded.

  • i have everything but THE FUKIN BIKE!!!!

  • i got it, thanks.

  • "things you will need, a motorcycle of course" Oh shit... dammit.

  • OMG!!! You carnt use car wash on a bike!!!! Holy sh1t dude.

  • OMG!!! You carnt use car wash on a bike!!!! Holy shit dude.

  • can u leave your bike in the rain?? please reply me anyone. tq

  • @krakmxer You sure can buddy!

  • yes in the rain is ok

  • @krakmxer Although, it's always best to cover it!!

  • @CBRNENO10 did you casually got water in your exhaust?

  • i heard you can't get any water into ur exhaust

  • nothing turns me on then watching a hairy hand in soapy water saying just wet it, god im wet now, that was intense.

  • "wet down here... You just wet it.. all over..." hahaha made my night. =D

  • I take my bike through an automatic wash. It gets both of us cleans at the same time

  • @jtantes87 haha love your style

  • you should get a hot girl in a bikini to wash it for your next video haha

  • @Iratizzle maybe I'll wear a bikini and wash it next time lol

  • hi there where do you live you have lots of bird in the background

  • @0402alex19 Yeah sounds 'birdy' around my place on video. I don't notice too much lol.

  • @0402alex19 australia!!! lucky... here in us, we need cars cause of the snowy winters...

  • when did you get this bike? what month i mean? i ask this because i want to get a 2011 model but im not sure if i sure get the 2010 model or wait for the 11s to come out. thanks, and great videos btw :)

  • @Jrdec It's a 2010 model...but the bike was manufactured technically end of 2009. Usually all car/bike manufacturers make new models a few months before the year actually starts. A lot of people I know had to wait till 2010 started to get their bike - I was lucky I guess.

  • I would not do that! Use a dry/damp clothe, that is enough.

  • "things you will need, a motorcycle of course"

    Me - "shit"

I want one so bad :(

  • @RabidTurkey2k8 I'm guessing all true motorcyclists have been there, and with the amount of thumbs i'm guessing my guess is right.

I've been wanting a motorcycle since i was 12, i looked through the whole lot and I decided I wanted a cbr125, because we'll in my country you can drive motorcycles when your 16 (but not cars... weird.... well you can drives cars with a 125cc engine witch is the same thing to say you simply cant), but only to 125. when your 18 you can drive 250 n' at 20/21 unlimited

  • @Martcapt

What country is this just wondering

  • @aaronibarra400 Portugal... where politics don't make sense...

  • @Martcapt nao cm 16 anos n podes guiar carros cm 125cc, se achas que um micro-car tem 125cc tas mto enanado

  • @RabidTurkey2k8 well moving on my argument to convince my protective parents (after many "no's") was "I can either get a 125 at 16 a 250 at 18 or a 1000 at 26 when i get my own money, now you decide!" After witch they decided if I was going to ride anyway better start with a beginner bike. This was when I was 14 or so, so that I had secured that when I was 16 that was already secured, it took me over a year to be able to convince them n' Idk what ur situation is but the only thing i can say...

  • @RabidTurkey2k8 if thats it, get cracking ;) good luck

  • "As long as I'm not you know, up here like you know completely annihilating it with water, it's fine, it's absolutely fine" best quote!

  • @3ndless3cho haha

  • ayy bro you should get like a 2 brothers exhaust or somthing will make your bike sound great!

  • Would it be a bad idea to bring a bike to the coin-op carwash and just spray it down with the pressure washer?

  • @Murderjetz I wouldn't use a pressure hose on my bike. I don't think it would be good for the paint.

  • @blinkycab really? how would that be any different than pressure washing a car though...

I would've been more concerned about the motor and electronic components, I was asking more about those.

  • @Murderjetz I'd say it would damage the mechanical parts. I've just always been told not to use a pressure hose. Maybe you can give it a go and let me know how it goes :)

  • iv heard the ninja 250 r is light as hell and alot of fun to ride. My brother has a suzaki katana 600 which is heavy as hell.

  • I just went to a Kawasaki dealer and I sat on the ninja for a while, (the green one) it felt great! I smelled the "new" smell and all, I will most likely have it by the end of this year... I can't wait!

  • love the guitar in all ur vids.. do you play?

  • @Ve1cro Used to a bit but then stopped. I'm really thinking of taking it up again tho. The intro music is from a friend of mine, recorded about 7-8 years ago maybe haha. I'm getting him to write some new stuff for me for my channel

  • nice video tnx..

i was afraid of washnig my bike.. :D

    but people listen..

you drive your bike while its raining... it is a same thing as washing :D

there is water.. soo nothing will happen..

    once more great video..

    greating from Serbia :D

  • Hi there..

Good vid, but like Synetic said, never ever put youre washing mit on the ground you puck up dirt and scratch youre paint. I would sugest a two buckey system one for soap and one for rinsing. And rins more often then you do.. Other then that nice bike (dont have a licens myselv, will be taking it soon, and buying a 250 ninja)..

  • good...

  • i am using

you tube for 4 years and Ive never seen better than Ur videos go blinkycab!!! go best

  • Just a word of advice for everyone, don't put the sponge that you are going to touch you bike with on the ground. It will pick up dirt and microscopic tiny rocks and when you rub it on your bike, it may scracht it.

  • I hope you don't wash your chain....or at least you oil it afterward. Other than that, good vid man. :D

  • Nice...but dude, never put that washing mit on the ground, think of the scratches from dirt!

  • @synetic lol... i was about to put the same comment ... haha.. But I do believe he knows what he is doing. =)

  • dont forget to wash under the fender + tail a lot of dirt seems to get in there! I think it is okay to wash the engine and stuff with water, keeps it nice and clean (to dry it you turn on the bike and let the heat of the engine warm it, maybe take it around the block). Good video!

  • Nice bike bro! and good video on how to wash it. Ride safe!!

  • Thanksssss
