i think hes quite lucky to die so old and peacefully.. he lived his whole life.. and the dies without pain.. i had a love one die of cancer and did not get to live as long as they should have.. life isnt fair.. and thats the truth

@EjPwned i respect your view. this was a great scientific video~to which I am thankful for getting to watch. my dads cells as i type are inthe process of dying.could be days.maybe weeks.unlikely months.I believe his rltn-ship with God and Jesus Christ saved his soul, and he has been forgiven for all the sins he commited while on earth,and forgiven for sins he would have committed if allowed to live days longer.bless you, eip and livethe most best awesome life you know, and seek truth always!!

I think it's interesting that the neurons release endorphins when death is imminent, like they want you to be in as little pain as possible.

I know, right? We couldn't have just developed that. Evolution doesn't work that way.  I think that the release of endorphins in the death process is one of the most obviously amazing aspects of our existence.

I saw all the Body Story episodes and got them to show to my Junior High Science classes. I pretty much show all of them in class, but I just cant show this one even though it is one of the better ones in the series. I was sad enough by the end of it, let alone what it would do to a room of 13 year olds. Great Series, I wish they would make more episodes...

This video drove me to tears.  After viewing it, it really makes you wish that everyone would respect the elderly more than they do. A very poignant video; as soon as the piano music kicked in after he died, I was practically sobbing.
