A thoroughly professional job, from top to bottom. Arrangement, melody, choreography, and most of all performance--everything is perfect! Even her dress is terrific! Of course, she had to complete against an Israeli transsexual singing an internationally successful disco anthem. Is she American? At one point, she cries out "C'mon everybody!", and her accent is perfect. Also, her singing style is very "American."

Fantastic song. One of the best dutch entries ever. So much better than the rubbish we send in the last 10 years. I was in Oslo at the 2010 competition and was ashamed to be dutch because of the hiddeous smurf song of sineke. Netherlands, please stop participating in this contest unless you come up with someting that's worth listening to.

@inspireradavstatyer I think the Dutch just got fed up trying, year after year. Eurovision apathy is running higher each year. Most Dutch people believe that Eurovision, in the state it's currently in, is not winnable anymore, and the Dutch entries reflect this. No-one gives a shit anymore. This year's entry is another low point. How low? Well, the Contest broadcast went to a cheap network that hired a cheap writer (Vader Abraham, from the Smurf song) to write a cheap song. You'll 'love' it.

Sure, most of our TOP 40/MTV tracks suck, but that's the case everywhere nowadays. We have some of the most cutting edge music schools in Europe, and it shows in the number of fantastic bands and solo artists in the altérnative scene here. Not to mention a great deal of classically trained musicians have gone to play for international orchestras.

Damn 1998 was for me the year really hoping that the eurovision was going to Amsterdam 1999. I think this days it is really hard for Netherlands to win a eurovision. She finished 4th, very undeservedly! This girl blows me away with her amazing voice and stage personality. Israel's winning song was somewhat interesting but Dana had a very weak voice. The Netherlands were definitely robbed that year!
