I bought the LP when it was first issued. Great then. Great now! I was always amused that the ladies chose to drape themselves around the 'little old shack out back!; Any idea who they were??
gram was amazing but he just wanted to play with the stones , him bailing on south africa was nothing more than that, a very talented artist who got caught up in needle drugs, and threw away his talent and life for nothing, someone who had class and coulda been more than he was, wasted for something not.
i understand gp meet keef on the byrds tour of uk in 68, gp didn't go to south africa with byrds on stones recomendation. stone henge picture come from this time. big call when you just goin a band and pull out of tour." we ain;t gunna play sun city"
After Beggars Banquet, but Keef and Gram were one and the same by then-the ancient art of weaving had already begun...The Stones are a hard act to follow....
At 0:30 sounds like "Oh doctor, please help me I' m damaged bla bla" in Beggars Banquet . I wonder if the Stones took it from the Burrito or the contrary ...
Chuck Willis (d. 1958). Same guy that wrote C.C. Rider. Poor man only made it to age 30. This cover version by the FBB is really, really good. Love the vocal harmonies and those opening guitar chords. Lots of depth and feeling in this tune.
You brought tears to my eyes, taking me down memory lane with this Juanita video. Yeah, I own/possess many of the shots in this video, but this display was spetacular! Thanks, again.
Burrito fans are the greatest! We can all thank Gram & Co.
Gram and Chris at their best....What could have been.

The jacket that he was wearing with the pot leaves on it , it's the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Good tribute.

This is such a nasty pixelated mp3 it spoils listening to the song completely, but the pictures are excellent.

If its true, The burrito's brothers would've taken it cause BB came out in 68' and this album came out in 69'.

This isn't a cover by FBB. Hillman and Parsons penned the tune.
